Business Story

Why this business was started

This is not your standard dropshipping store. The products are unique and I work directly with a vendor. I started this store to get my feet wet with ecommerce. I chose women's swimwear because it is one of those niches that is always going to be popular. However, one things that I didn't like was that everyone was selling the same Aliexpress products. I wanted original swimsuit designs, so I found a vendor who was able to create custom designs for my store. Another good thing about working directly with a vendor is that the amount of shipping errors are reduced. This store is seasonal and during it's peak performance months (March-May) the store does EXTREMELY well and brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars with a moderate amount of marketing, as you can see in the screenshots. I also have built a very good social media following and have obtained over 70,000 email subscribers. Yes this store is seasonal, but even in the off-season it brings in a good amount of income. So you might be wondering at this point why I am selling such a successful business. It was a tough decision to make as to whether or not I should hold on to the store, Long story short, I have long term business goals in mind and in order to obtain them I need to let some things go. This store being one of them. Exchange valued it at $239,000 and I am only asking $100,000 during the off-season.

The reason of selling this business

I am selling this store because I have a new project in mind that I'm dying to pour all my effort into. This store has proven to be very profitable. However, it could be even more successful when in the hands of someone who can give it their all. Depending on what your budget is for ad spend, you could easily turn this into a million dollar business. I have no doubt that the next owner will immediately start seeing profits when the store is taken over. I'm sad to see her go but it's the right move for me.

What's involved in running this business

I have two virtual assistants that handle order fulfillment and customer service. They are very good and also very hard working and respectful. So if you choose to keep them on the team, you will need to stay in contact with them and pay them every week. The products are sourced through a vendor. Her name is Nancy and she is very punctual and supportive. She will let you know when she receives new products and will even send you some for free to test out on models. I will hand over the facebook ads account with all of its acquired data which includes several pixels, ads, account images, catalogs etc. The instagram account has over 5,000 followers who tag themselves in my products almost every week, so you will need to continue reposting those on the page to stay engaged.

    How to grow this business

This is an EXCELLENT oppurtunity to own a stable and successful long term business. Not to mention everything is already set up. Exchange valued this business at $239,000 and I am willing to sell it for only $150,000. The thing that sets this business apart from other ones in the same niche is that my best selling swimsuits are original designs sourced from a vendor I work with directly. They are not from Ali-express. I also have found trustworthy and affordable employees that fulfill orders, handle customer service and deal with chargebacks. And between social media and the email list, there are close to 75,000 loyal customers. Growing this business over the next 5, 10, or 15 years will be easy and stress free.
