The reason of selling this business

My name is John, and I started this e-commerce business as a second year college student. Now that I am getting closer to graduating, I need to fully focus on school so I can get into the graduate school I want. What started as a little side hustle for me has now been grown to a full-fledge business. The reason I was able to do this was because being quarantined at home due to the pandemic gave me a lot of free time to teach myself google ads, website design, conversion rate optimization, and more.

What's involved in running this business

This business is almost fully automated utilizing a very optimized Smart Shopping Campaign for Google Ads (the most hands-free campaign out of any digital advertising platform). After turning traffic from Google into customers, the 3PL fulfillment center I work with in Utah processes, ships, and provides tracking number to all my orders in the morning of every weekday. With this automated system, the only thing I need to do is place a bulk order from my Alibaba supplier about once a month. Other than that, the only thing I do is work on customer service, which is only about 1 hour a week since we provide such a great customer experience!

This product was also featured on BuzzFeed (and no it was not a paid article, they genuinely liked my product!). Also comes with a couple User Generated Contents (customer testimonial, how-to videos, voiceovers, etc) , aesthetically pleasing professional product photos, photos with models using the product, and more. All logos, banners, pictures (everything!) will be transferred via Google Drive or email.

    How to grow this business

    There are many reasons as to why you should want to be the owner of this business. I would invest heavily in user generated content (UGCs) and expand outside of the US. I also only ran Google Ads during my time owning this store, so I would expand into FB/IG ads, as well as Snapchat and TikTok (the ad algorithm for these two new platforms seem to be improving drastically lately - not to mention, their ads are very cheap compared to FB/IG or even Google ads!)

    Skills to have

    The owner should be a person with vision who can maintain the greater picture when running this store. This product is what is called a "general product", meaning that it is extremely scaleable. It is gender neutral and is a massaging product for a pain that EVERYBODY has at least once in their lifetime. Therefore, the owner should be willing to expand to all sales channels, whether that is overseas, retail, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, FaceBook, Instagram, and more. Unfortunately, I was not able to expand to these social media channels as that was more time consuming for me.
