Why this business was started

I came from a background of web development/design and digital marketing. I was an employee of this store as a manager at the brick and mortar level and I also helped to build up the digital marketing side. I bought and took over the store, rebranded, built up and added more corporate clients and everyday customers. We've done a lot of front shop renovations, organizing, merchandising as well as implement various tech system to assist in bringing in and managing new clients. We've shown substantial increase but I'd like to move on to the next project and with a new born in our lives, the next stage of our life.

The reason of selling this business

While there's still room to grow in this business, the challenges I like the most are the things involved in starting up a company like organizing and implementing systems to streamline the business process for both owner and customer. I feel we have accomplished this to a greater degree and now would like to move on to other projects, other web-based businesses.

What's involved in running this business

The brick and mortar aspect of the shop has been streamlined to take customers who book us online to have consultations of their next event either by phone or in person at the shop. We have technology to do screen-sharing and video conferencing if it's by phone but we also do an in person one-on-one at the shop. It's a very V.I.P. approach and the orders are often quite large. We have a good number of corporate clientele as well that order from us on a regular basis for sales events, conferences, and company parties. We build unique balloon bouquets and decor for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, bar-mitzvahs, retirements, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate events and just about any other event that can be celebrated. We build custom designs at the shop for pick up and delivery to local companies, banquet halls and homes.
