Why this business was started

This business started at the end of 2019 as a common dropshipping store. There were many difficulties at that time, especially regarding COVID and the disruption of the Chinese logistic supply chain. We started it because we saw an opportunity to provide customers with affordable protection for their Apple devices, especially the Apple Watch since there was not a store heavily advertising similar products on social media.

The reason of selling this business

Since the beginning of this year I've been struggling to focus on this particular business and keep its growth the way I believe it deserves. Selling it is not an easy decision, since it was my first successful store, bringing in consistently sales every single day from 2019 till this day. I see great potential in this niche and particularly in this store, but I have other projects in mind, and I don't have enough time to focus on all of them. There was a decline in ads' performance since the beginning of this year and we've been fighting to revert that, but without much success. Please note that this store currently IS NOT bringing in profits, because of the recent decline in ads performance. If you buy it, you will have to work on its paid acquisition channels (Facebook ads or other marketing channels) to fix that. Despite the decrease in sales volume, I don't believe it's a market-related problem, just a lack of focus from myself in this particular business.

What's involved in running this business

Customer service (we have a very talented person for that, but we would need to verify if she will be interested in keep working under the new management), running ads on FB and Google as well, ordering inventory from our supplier to our 3PL warehouse and fulfilling orders that don't have stocked products directly with our DS agents in China. Those are the bare minimum requirements to keep the store running. If you wish, you can also invest more time in social media, email marketing (we have an email list) and other aspects of the business.

About 20 stock images in high resolution (4000 pixels+ jpg) bought on depositphotos that we used in one or more of our campaigns. All ad creatives made for social media campaigns. For video ad creatives, about 130 video files in square and stories sizes, including UGC bought on Billo, self made video ads and ads bought on third party services like Fiverr. For image ads about 230 creatives, including stories and square sizes. Not all files mentioned are unique, some are different variations of the same ad with slightly different elements. All files are available in Google Drive.

We also have a couple high-quality testimonial photos sent by our customers, all in jpg, about 20 photos. All files will be available in Google Drive.

    How to grow this business

    I would hire a professional creative agency or professional media buyer with good creative production skills to scale the paid ads strategy on channels like Facebook and Instagram. Also, I would invest more in diversifying the product line, specifically for the Apple Watch.

    Mainly social media marketing, media buying, creatives creation, copywriting, email marketing skills, store design, video editing skills. If you understand a bit of HTML, CSS and Javascript, this can also be helpful (but very rarely used, since you can do most of the store design without touching code, with Shopify).
