Why this business was started
I started this business in the pet lovers niche, with unique apparel and gifts, as a side passion project because I am a pet lover myself. I really enjoyed setting it up and getting the marketing dialled in and sales coming in. It was pretty much doubling revenues month on month and we reached 10K monthly revenue quickly, but subsequently my main projects were taking up much more time and I just didn't have any time left to work on this store.
The reason of selling this business
While a part of me would love to keep it, realistically I just don't have the time to work on it and make the most of it. It's a great brand and store with a very passionate niche and it deserves to be taken on by someone has some time to get it scaling again. I have a full plan for the marketing system, but no time to build it out. I would love to see someone else take it on and make the most of it!
What's involved in running this business
Researching ideas for designs, and having a designer do the designs. They can be easily done by someone on fiverr etc. for minimal cost. Set up product listings with the print on demand app. Social media promotion on Instagram and Pinterest. If you want to do paid ads, then setting up Facebook ad campaigns. Fulfilment is automated. Customer service replies. The vast majority can be done by a VA, it mainly just needs the systems setting up, and then monitoring.

How to grow this business
There is a huge opportunity to grow sales without the need for paid ads with Pinterest and Instagram, which I have a marketing plan for. Restarting paid ad campaigns would also provide a great opportunity to scale quickly. Then building out email campaigns which would greatly increase revenue. Adding new designs and products would increase revenue from all channels.
Skills to have
I can provide a plan for how to grow with Pinterest and Instagram, without the need for paid ads. If the buyer wishes to run Facebook ads, they would need to know how to do this. Also they would need to learn how to use their chosen email service provider to set up campaigns, though they can do a lot with Kit for free.
