Why this business was started
I started this business after using infrared saunas personally for my health and quickly began to add other products that I curated myself. Our customer base loves the product collections that we have and as we have started to increase our email campaign, we're seeing our returning customer rate increase.
Customers love the design of the website but also the fact that we sell both cold plunges and infrared saunas, two products that are commonly sold together. Clearlight Saunas is the top supplier in the industry for infrared saunas and we have a good relationship with their team but it also draws a ton of eyeballs.
The reason of selling this business
I am currently the CFO of a startup and in MBA school. My time is quite limited and although I don't wish to sell, my time available to work on the store is constantly decreasing and the opportunity cost too high.
What's involved in running this business
There are currently 20 suppliers listed on our store. We use Zapier to submit some of the suppliers that require an email submission while the rest are done through the suppliers portal or manually through email. Zapier is an automation tool that recognizes that and order was placed with supplier X and will automatically send an email to the supplier with the customers order. A few of these "zaps" have been created but even more can be done since most of our suppliers ask that we submit orders via email as opposed to a portal. We average 24 orders a month so most days the ordering can be completed in approximately 5 minutes. Google ads are outsourced to a campaign manager and are reviewed by myself for 1-2 hours at the end of the month when I receive the report. Additionally I will spend 1 hour tweaking the direction of the ads or ad spend depending on the margin we receive from specific suppliers or if new suppliers are brought on board. I spend most of my time answering phone calls, tidio chats, customer emails, and researching new products, trends and designing the website.

How to grow this business
Our business is ripe to grow over the next few years for a few reasons. The health and wellness industry is exploding and we are proud to have some of the top suppliers in the industry as dealers. It wasn't until a month ago when we started to invest in our email campaign. If I were the new owner, I would build upon and grow our Klaviyo account as well as push more on social media.
The Halo One, our top selling product, is currently out of stock but we rank #1 in google for this even above the manufacturer.
We are the only dealer for Polar Monkey cold plunges and they are currently exploding in the market. The next 5 years with that supplier is going to be very profitable.
Our average revenue since we started in July of 2021 is $22k but the past 90 days has resulted in over $100k in revenue with a run rate of ~450k/year.
