Why this business was started

At the time of starting this store money was very tight for us. I needed to earn an extra £50 per week to pay the bills.

I'd considered getting a part time job, but this would mean incurring childcare costs.

So, I went in search of an alternative where I could work from home.

When I discovered drop shipping I knew it was the model for me.

I picked a niche I was interested in and started running ads.

Sales started coming in and increasing quite quickly and I've continue to grow it since then.

The reason of selling this business

We are planning to expand our family.

My husband also runs his own business from home which been very successful too. So much so that I can now focus 100% of my attention on our family.

The proceeds from the sale of my business will help us to upgrade our home to accommodate our ever expanding family.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

    I would recommend expanding onto multiple social platforms. So far, we have focused exclusively on Facebook (115,000 Facebook Page likes). The store would certainly benefit from having an active presence on; Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter. We have social profiles for these sites, but we do not utilise them.

    I would advise the new owner to spend some time testing and developing an extended follow up email sequence to help bring customers back again and again. We have seen minor success in this, but once again it has not been a focus for us.

    As can be seen from the graphs, the beginning of the year is a very good time for us and could be leveraged so much more than what we have been able to achieve.

    I often wonder what could be achieved with this store if someone were to be able to spend more time than I have on it, it could really become something amazing.
