Why this business was started

I wanted to be an entrepreneur and run my own business so I decided to quit my job and start an ecommerce business. After much research, I found that fitness accessories would be a great niche due to the fact that there are many affordable items and accessories that can be sold relatively easily with low shipping costs and are great for drop-shipping. Fitness is something that is crucial for health and wellness, and being fit and healthy is something that more and more people are striving for, no matter what age. The fitness category is only growing and it's something that is fairly stable and will never go out of style. There is always demand for fitness accessories and fitness gear. Those are the reasons that I started this business in the fitness accessories niche 3 years ago and it has proven to be a great success.

The reason of selling this business

I am currently working on several different businesses/ventures, and my wife and I just had a baby a month ago so I've decided to try to free up some of my time by selling this business. I have a whole list of things that I wanted to pursue to grow this business however due to time constraints I haven't been able to pursue them and I've just been spending the minimal amount of time necessary to manage the day to day of this business.

What's involved in running this business

This business is fairly automated and the day to day really only consists of answering customer emails, placing orders, and entering tracking numbers which can take about 1-2 hours. Other than that, I usually just check on marketing campaigns once every couple weeks. The best selling products have inventory and the rest are drop-shipped. The inventory is fully manage by my supplier so it does not require any additional time or resources. Running this business "as is" requires minimal effort and yet generates great, and steady income, however if someone were to put in the time and effort to pursue the growth opportunities, they could really take this business to another level.

My ecommerce store sells small, affordable, easy to ship fitness accessories. The best selling products have inventory and the rest are drop-shipped. The inventory is fully managed by my supplier who is extremely reliable and I have been working with him for the past 3 years. I simply email the orders to my supplier everyday and he ships the orders and emails me back the tracking numbers for all the orders, so in essence it is the same as drop-shipping except for the fact that I pay for the inventory upfront. This is great niche and a very reliable business that generates stable income with minimal day to day work, and plenty of potential growth opportunities to pursue.

This is a business that I built from scratch 3 years ago and it is now to the point where it has a tremendous proven track record with lifetime sales of over $1.5M, and 3 years worth of invaluable marketing data and analytics. Put a tremendous amount of work and effort into digital marketing, which now has years of invaluable data and analytics. Found an extremely reliable and trustworthy supplier. Built Facebook and Instagram accounts.

    There are no skills that are absolutely necessary to run this business, however it would be helpful have an understanding of how Shopify works and it would also be helpful to to have experience with or be knowledgeable in digital marketing. I would be willing to coach/train the buyer for all skills necessary to run this business, including marketing. There is also the option to hire a marketing agency or individual for the marketing.
