Why this business was started

We saw an opportunity in the dropshipping space, and an obvious need for video ads. I was an experienced dropshipper myself, and I understood the mechanics of a video ad that converts, all we did was systemize the process and shipped it out to the dropshipping community. Using influencers/affiliates is super powerful with this business model.

The reason of selling this business

We've decided to sell because there are other opportunities to pursue that would be be more profitable and scalable. At the moment, about half of our traffic/sales come from returning customers, and we don't want to put in the work to generate more traffic. Although, it would not be too difficult to do. If you know how to run ads, do cold outreach (to potential affiliates), or craft a creative offer that you could promote with ads, it should be no problem to generate traffic. I just simply don't have the time or desire to do so.

What's involved in running this business

To be honest, not much. Once you have it set up correctly, the team manager handles most of the operational tasks. I have to answer the occasional question from a subordinate, but for the most part, everything is systematically automated to be as efficient and hands-free as possible. Making the final decision of Hiring/Firing is your responsibility, but the team manager records/reports performance and notifies you if something is off. Things such as sending emails invitations to new members is your responsibility as well. Also, at the moment, we do our own email marketing (sending promotions, campagins, etc.), however this could be easily outsourced (I have a connection if you need). All of the email flows are already set up and automated to generate recurring revenue. Can't think of much else that needs to be handled manually to be honest.

    How to grow this business

    I would focus on brand awareness and getting in contact with emerging influencers in the dropshipping space. There is also a lot of untapped opportunity in the paid ads that you could run to generate more traffic. The store itself converts, and people come back to buy more, so really anything you can do to generate traffic on the site is going to be extremely impactful.

    Skills to have

    You should have skills in management - it just comes down to hiring your team of video editors and having them follow our editing style. Most of the systems that keep the business afloat are already built. At this point, I do nothing on a day-to-day basis. It would take a month or two for you to get to that point, but you easily could.
