Why this business was started
I started this business, because I had a passion for ecommerce, fashion and the beach/Australian laid back lifestyle. Shopify currently values the company at $365,390.00. This is excluding our 60,000.00 USD in stock. A screenshot of the valuation can be found after signing the NDA.
The reason of selling this business
I've decided to sell this business so I can refocus my time on other brands instead of splitting my (and my staffs) time among many brands. I believe that this brand can scale to a multi-million brand when it's under the right management and a hands-on entrepreneur.
In the beginning of 2020 I wasn't really focussed on this brand, because my attention was mainly focussed on other brands. As time progressed I started to see the potential and decided to start scaling and building the brand via advertising, influencers, email marketing etc. Since 2021 you can see an extreme increase in sales and traffic, because the potential was recognized.
As said before, under the right entrepreneur this business can scale towards a multi million brand within a year with the proper attention it deserves. We're currently en course for a revenue of over 1.5 Million USD in 2021.
What's involved in running this business
Supplier communication via the supplier channel. Customer communication through tickets using Freshdesk and Slack. We already have many responses built in as automations/templates. Researching new products to expand the product line. Managing the advertising spend on Google Ads through search/retargeting campaigns. Tracking the stock the supplier is holding in China. Fulfillment is done by the supplier through an ERP system (linked with Shopify). Dealing with exchanges or replacement orders if there's an issue with the item being lost in transit (or there's a sizing problem). Responding to customer reviews. Approve Email marketing campaigns from our email marketing agency.

Personal support after saleI am willing to provide advice, tips on a organizational and strategy level.. This can be done via Gmail, Slack, calls and physical tutoring (depends on location due to covid travel restrictions). I will also help with chargebacks and tips for customer inquiries. What I suggest is a walkthrough of the whole business/organization, introducing to the various departments and helping with the day-to-day activities. After that, the new store owner can always contact me if he/she has ány questions whatsoever. Chargebacks, disputes that arise after the sale via Shopify and Paypal will be the responsibility of the seller (me). Whether it is via financial reimbursement for chargebacks or help to fulfill the necessary orders, I will be there to assist and help in that part of the business as well. I will be able to offer the support listed above for a maximum of 3 months.
Product photosOur product photos, photos from collabs, photos from professional photoshoots in Hawaii will be shared via drive and email.
SuppliersWe have a fulfillment center based in China. This supplier organizes the shipment, order management en custom packaging of our store. We have a good relation with this supplier and we can transfer the pricing agreements, past communication etc. Frequently asked questions Your store has increased in sales extremely since the last few months. Can you elaborate on this? I got serious with this brand as soon as I saw the potential of the store. Therefore in the first months I wanted to make sure that all processes were in order such as shipping, product stock, an email marketing team, high quality photos and a solid customer service team. After that we started scaling via paid advertising and free collabs. All small steps that we've taken have resulted into this exponential growth. How much time will I be spending on this ecommerce store/brand? This current brand costs me +/- 3 hours per day. This time is mostly spent on brainstorming for improving and scaling the business. What would you advice to do to continue to grow the revenue of this store? I suggest expanding on our current Hat and bags collection in which you can also investigate to start selling caps. We're more focussed on beach hats and straw material, but it could definitely work. Is there room for negotiation in the listing price? The listing price is the minimum price. The are currently multiple interested buyers and if interested, I advice new interested buyers to move smooth and fast.
How to grow this business
We're a fast-fashion retailer focused on the millennial/beach demographic. We sell beach bags, hats and accessories. The easiest way to grow this store is to grow the product line, re-sell to our responsive email list on new product launches and then promote the new products via our Instagram page (that has 10K followers) and also amplify the products via paid traffic and influencers.
Predictable revenue channels could include: 1. Launching new products to Facebook/Instagram and Google campaigns to increase revenue. 2. Running YouTube ads with user-generated content. 3. Promoting the products via Tiktok and Snapchat ads. 4. Emailing our list more often (it's responsive!) 5. Using influencers to promote new product drops 6. SEO is on auto, but can definitely be improved. 7. Invest into B2B. We've had a lot of inquiries for wholesale and would advice to continue with this for the visibility of the brand. 8. Collaborate to be featured on magazines and physical stores for more brand visibility. We've already been invited to work together with Vogue and similar stores to showcase our products.
