The YSN story: Working in top flight professional football, I noticed a large gap in the education and availability of quality nutrition for youth athletes.

Most times, nutrition was an afterthought, or something that was  being catered for by using unhealthy snacks from the vending machine, or drive-in fast food after training.

Elite youth athletes are at greater risk of nutritional deficiencies, owing to balancing rapid periods of growth, the high training demands of their sports, busy schedules and sometimes, selective eating habits.

This places a heightened demand on their diet to help them fuel, and refuel right to avoid deficiencies. At the time, there was no quick, convenient solution to help parents provision their athletes nutrition before, during or after sport.

So, YSN was born with a mission to eliminate youth athlete undernourishment. Over the course of 2+ years, we developed

PRO-TEEN, the worlds first sports recovery shake, specifically designed to meet the unique needs and values of youth athletes.

The reason of selling this business

I've run this business for 5+ years now and handled all aspects of business planning, private investors, cash flow, scale up, marketing and have a nice little business to plug into a larger operation. YSN operates in its own high margin blue ocean marketplace niche, and has tons of potential with new territories, new products and retail. Maybe it's too early to sell, but I'd like to pursue my passions elsewhere now that I have the in-depth knowledge of how to scale e-com businesses and would like to coach others on doing the same successfully.

Organising distribution, production (manufacturing) and digital marketing - all are, and can be outsourced and automated for passive income. YSN operates with MRR (Monthly recurring revenue) model utilising subscriptions and currently has around 400 monthly paying subscribers and 6k+ on the email list.
