Why this business was started

I was interested in learning more about e-commerce and drop shipping in particular. It started out as a low barrier of entry business to get into and then when I had some success I kept going with it. Now it is doing thousands in sales/month and has a solid customer base.

The reason of selling this business

I didn't expect this store to get so big so fast. Honestly I am just a bit overwhelmed dealing with customer service, managing social media, and trying to learn ads. Then my mom got really sick with Covid and is still recovering, so I haven't really done much with this the past few months. I know this is a great brand and has a lot of potential, but I just can't give it the attention it needs and honestly I went too hard too fast, burnt myself out. Now I'm only focusing on niches that I am personally interested in. Shopify values the site at $43,000 which includes recent low activity and sales over past few months. My best month was 18k in revenue.

Staying on top of supply issues and engagement with the supplier. Customer services issues such as questions about products and shipping issues. Social media engagement and marketing. Product research, email marketing.

Other details about profit: I spent a lot of the profit reinvesting into the business and learning. For me this was always a learning exercise, so I took the profits and would immediately use them testing new ads, new ad platforms, new apps, paying contractors etc. If you are someone who already has those skills and familiar with e-comm/drop shipping, you would keep all the profits and would clear 2k on 7k revenue :)

    How to grow this business

    I would focus on UGC as well as more UGC advertising content. Polish up the brand more by including educational info with each piece purchased. Improve the "unboxing" experience with better branded packaging etc. You eventually could private label some products and increase your profit margin.

    Skills to have

    Deep knowledge of FB ads and Google Ads, also Tik Tok and instagram marketing. Bonus if you have interest in the niche of gemstones and crystals.
