I wanted to create made in America boutique clothing for little girls. Modeling my designs based on the timeless fashions of the great depression era, I saw a unique market to mix past designs with today's modern fabrics for kids.
To focus on family. I'm a mom of three small children and the business was growing and with it just being myself, I wasn't able to continue the time the boutique needed.
Designing dresses, creating purchase orders of these designs and coordinating these orders with a local factory. Ordering supplies (fabrics, notions, tags, packaging materials, etc). Fulfilling customer orders. Social media marketing. Website maintenance. Customer service.

I would begin investing in advertising. I never really spent the funds on this important aspect. I also would continue to look into decreasing costs of my designs with continuing high end fabrics but mixing designs so I repeated some fabrics in collections.
A keen eye for fashion/design. A knowledge of the Buy/Sell/Trade community on facebook, a general knowledge of the boutique world.
