Why this business was started

Luggage Lust was my first attempt at anything to do with e-commerce, and I've devoted countless hours to its design, creation, and expansion. Though it is currently a dropshipping store, my ultimate goal was to turn it into a large-scale luggage company, buying and storing inventory in a fulfillment center.

The reason of selling this business

I couldn't have started Luggage Lust at a worse time. The travel industry has been dramatically impacted by COVID-19, and although things are starting to get better, I'd prefer to sell this store to someone who can approach it with fresh eyes.

I will be honest: I have not been profitable overall. However, when refunded orders are excluded, Luggage Lust has made $883 in total revenue. (To verify this information, I have included a screenshot of my Facebook ad analytics.)

Unfortunately, I have had to refund multiple customers due to shipping delays caused by COVID-19. In addition, I ended up spending $900 on Facebook ads. If I had been a more experienced dropshipper, I would not have needed to spend this much, but Facebook ads were completely new to me at the time.

On the bright side, Luggage Lust's pixel has been fed substantial data, and many of my sales were made by utilizing Facebook lookalike audiences.

    How to grow this business

    Luggage Lust could function as a dropshipping store or by storing inventory in a fulfillment center. In my view, combining both business models will set it up for long-term success—shipping out the most popular products through a fulfillment center while dropshipping less-sold products.

    Skills to have

    Driving traffic to the store is crucial. Prior experience with Facebook and/or Google ads is ideal, as well as understanding how to bring unpaid traffic to the store. SEO knowledge (a skill that I am, unfortunately, lacking) would be especially advantageous.
