Why this business was started

Graduated in Architecture and Construction, and having been in the industry for several years, i was quite affected by the COVID pandemic (transitioned to part-time work), I wanted to venture into a more digital, pandemic resilient industry. I started this store as an experiment to learn and develop skills in this industry. I am quite the Apple fan, owned an apple watch, and just thought it would be a good starting point because i can shoot content myself. I did some research and found that margins are pretty healthy, so decided to dive straight into it. To my surprise, the results were really good, so i kept going at it.

The reason of selling this business

Several reasons - Partnering with a long time friend on a more local business selling farm-to-table produce (building upon skills learnt from this store), as our country has evidently been affected during COVID due to over-dependence on food import (food security is a big issue here). We invested into a small aeroponic farm, but have not been able to allocate enough time to it. - Burning out from sheer workload, juggling work and this project (almost solo business with some help from my girlfriend) - On top of my current commitments, my tenancy ends in soon without an option to renew, thus i will be very busy relocating.

What's involved in running this business

Review and optimise Facebook ads once a week, processing orders daily or every alternate day, customer service, posting on social media, communicating with supplier. I recommend creating your own content, or outsource it to freelancers. Hiring a virtual assistant would be highly recommended if you're scaling to anything above $50,000 per month. You would probably want to scale higher with the upcoming holiday season around the corner (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.).

    • Personal support after sale

      1 Week minimum via video/voice call, whichever is easier, but i am flexible, and will do as much as i can to ensure your success into a smooth transition. If more time is required, up to 1 month support, please note that i will be relocating come Nov, so i will be pretty tied up. As for refund/returns/chargeback request, we do less than $300 worth of refunds per month, so i can either offer this amount of $300 as a discount or one time payment to you to cover this cost. I also seek that you try to provide customer support for existing customers over this transition period, otherwise i will get charged hefty chargebacks. I can provide you a template of FAQs to common queries. As for unfulfilled orders, i will be running the store until the point of sale of this business. So please allow 2-3 days for me to fulfil all orders (before the agreed date of assets transfer), as well as 'password protecting' this store. I will also make an announcement on our socials whether it is 'transition to new management' or 'website maintenance', whichever you prefer. I also have a box containing many product samples from my supplier. I can ship this to you as i think it would be very useful for you to make future content.       There are many suppliers on Aliexpress, and I took a few months to test and validate a trustworthy supplier. The reason i decided to work with my current supplier is primarily due to a special shipping method that pains many dropshippers, which is a dedicated shipping line that provides augmented shipping (does not show China), and fast shipping times - our average is 9 days including processing time. My supplier is also very responsive and collaborative - for example, if they ship the wrong product or if the product is faulty, she never hesitates to replace them free of charge. I serve 15 countries, including the main ones like US, UK, Canada, Germany etc. There are some other smaller countries that my supplier has a logistics channel as well, so you may want to explore these markets.
