Why this business was started

The product made me laugh and it was for sale so I bought it with a friend to try running an online business. My friend quit after a few months and I kept at it. I'm actually the 3rd owner of the business. The first owner started it as more of a revenge site and the 2nd owner evolved it into a more friendly prank site. I've just continued the prank element of the site.

The reason of selling this business

Just tired of running it. And I want to try something else. I have limited time to focus on a side-hustle and I'd like to put what I have into some other ideas.

What's involved in running this business

Majority of running the business for me is just fulfilling the orders. I don't put a lot of time into the business anymore. Fulfilling orders can be 2-3 times per week - about an hour each time. If supplies are running low, it's a matter of just ordering more so that time is minimal. I don't do any advertising campaigns so no time is spent on that. I would imagine a new owner would spend several more hours per week working on growth tactics.

Other details about profit: I'd say 50+% of sales/profits come during the Xmas season - Nov-Jan. There's an Etsy storefront that pulls in a few orders but it's not that active. There are a few dollars that come in with some of the affiliate product sales through the site. Had an article go viral for Xmas 2018 and results showed the potential. I've tried to replicate that traffic boost with some big marketing spend experiments each year which haven't provided any measurably results so expenses have been higher than normal.
