Why this business was started
** This is an alternative/skulls/gothic store** I was looking to start an eCommerce store to make extra money online. I took a course on how to start a store and it really helped me successfully start a store. I discovered a niche that responded well to the products I've added and have made a significant amount of money over the last year (almost two years) in eCommerce. I think it's a great way to make money online! And Shopify has been a very easy platform to process all of my orders and track everything I'm doing.
The reason of selling this business
Valuation came in at $134K. Only asking a fraction of that - $20K for a quick sale. I feel like there are a lot of things that someone that really knows what they are doing could do to what I've started and really take this store to the next level. Also, I'm interested in starting another store in a different niche since this niche is one I just kind of fell into... it's not really my passion. I'm also a serial entrepreneur and I'm looking to move onto other ventures as well. The day-to-day management of this store isn't really that bad, but it does take a little time, and I'm happy to make a small profit and let someone else run it and make some money and see what they can to do take it to the next level. I have a very solid foundation to build on!
What's involved in running this business
Updating the store, adding products as much as possible and doing product research so you know what products to ad and offer.
Facebook marketing. I drive all traffic at this point through FB ads. I have built up a significant following, but when I want to make money, I turn on FB ads. This requires a knowledge of FB marketing, the ability to be creative and make good ads, etc...
Product fulfillment. Depending on the time of year and how much traffic you drive to the store - I've been getting anywhere from 10-50+ orders a day. This will require you to fulfill orders through Dropified. Many products come from AliExpress, but some come from Amazon, and Ebay
Customer Service. This is a dropshipping store and people always have questions about when products are arriving, returns, etc... Depending on the time of year, this can take up a good chunk of your time, or require you to hire someone to manage it for you
Social Media Management. You will need to post on FB and IG on a regular basis. I've been doing all this myself, but there's a lot of potential for someone to do it better than I've done.
General business management. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things, but this website is just like any other retail business and requires you to strategize, develop marketing concepts and ideas, manage people (if you decide), etc... There's just a bunch of things that come with running a successful website. It doesn't just magically pump out money with zero effort. (But, with that said... it is actually quite an easy way to make money compared to other methods! In my opinion.)

How to grow this business
There are a lot of things I have just not done that someone with time and energy could do. 1. I haven't even touched google ads. You could get products on google ads and drive tons of traffic for people that are searching for products on this store. 2. I have done a terrible job at email marketing. If someone took the time to set up a legitimate and consistent email marketing campaign, it would do really well! 3. I've gotten pretty lazy at adding new products and testing new products on FB. If you added 2-3 products a week and tested different FB ads, you could significantly increase traffic. 4. Influencer marketing. This is another marketing channel I haven't even touched. Someone could really pick this up and make $$ with this store. 5. If I were going to keep it... I might consider hiring someone that knows how to scale stores and have them help me identify some ways I could scale. This is literally the first store I've ever done and I'm 100% positive there are things I'm not doing that are missing out on tons of sales!
- SEO - Haven't even touched anything with SEO... You could hire an SEO guy to come in and drive organic traffic.
Skills to have
You need to know how to manage FB ads. Sort of... I could teach you in my 3 week training/transfer.
You should be a good copywriter so you can write product descriptions and FB/google ads. Or you'll have to hire a good one.
You should be decently handy with photoshop or some other editing software so you can create good pictures for social media accounts and also for your FB ads and videos. (Or you can pay someone to do this for you)
You should have a general awareness of how to run a business, how to offer good customer service and how to market products. If you're completely clueless on that... this might be hard for you... BUT... if you're willing to learn FAST... I can teach you some things during our trainings.
