Our store specialises in cosmetics and cosmetic accessories. Since we launched two years ago our store has grown rapidly and has potential to grow further.

We started this store because we could see a niche in the market whereby we could create both handmade products and wholesale items from across the world. Our brand is unique because it is completely cruelty free which our customers love. We have built up a large social media following and a large customer database, which is extremely valuable in a world where social media marketing is so important to a business.

Financials and traffic

Our sales have decreased in 2018 due to us discontinuing products that our customers love, a true representation of our profits would be in the year 2017 when we first launched the company. If the new owner of this store was to bring back the products our customers love the profits would increase again. Our turn over one month was 6K and another month our turn over was 11K, this also depends what season it is and what products are in stock.

All expenses vary depending on how much traffic you want to the website, our Facebook adds can be more or less $20 if we want the add to be longer or shorter the price will change. Shopify monthly plan will decrease or increase depending on what add-ons you add to the store, without add-ons the store is around $30 a month. The same thing happens with Mail Chimp however the prices per month rises depending on how many subscribers you have on the list.

Why should someone buy this store?

We believe that our store has huge potential to grow bigger and the profit margins are massive. The cosmetics industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. We already have a big following which means little social media marketing is needed. The business is already set up within the industry and the new owner would need to log on and away they go. Because this is a website based company there are little overheads, but this isn't to say it has to stay that way, it has huge potential to become a physical store too.

How can the future owner improve the business?

The new owner can improve this business by launching the old products we used to have that would get in the most revenue. Unfortunately we had to discontinue a lot of our most loved products. The future owner can expand the range of products as there is always new trends within the industry. We do have handmade products however we have started buying some in too.

What work have you put into the store?

I have put a lot of work into this store, building a social media platform and customer base has been key to keeping this company going. Working closely with the following of the company makes the customers feel connected with the brand. Giveaways seem to have worked well in getting customers to follow and like our social media pages. Myself and my business partner have put in endless hours creating the website and getting it to look how it is today, constantly changing the look of our brand to make it look perfect. When we first launched our store everything was handmade, I would work hours on end perfecting our formula, researching what ingredients are the best. After we started to earn money from doing this we would release more products and were able to buy these from a factory.
