Why this business was started

I thought of a new way to do the classical dropshipping store and thought I would try it out. It proves my concept works! After a couple months it has done over 455k and counting.

The reason of selling this business

I have been planning to work on another project for over a year now (not ecommerce). The opportunity came up recently where I am able to go ahead with it. I learned years ago not to spread myself too thin on multiple projects. It might end up dragging both things down.

As much as I don't want to sell this store. It is making a ton of profit and I have spent countless hours optimizing everything. I think it is time to let the store go so I can focus on my next project. I want to ensure the next owner is successful so I am providing anything I can to help them.

What's involved in running this business

Most of the tasks can be delegated to VAs pretty easily, but right now I am a one person bandwagon. It doesn't take a lot of time to run now that things are basically set up. Most things are at least semi-automated (like fulfillment and updating tracking etc.) The only time consuming part would be customer service, but overall that isn't a ton of time since everything is shipped from US warehouses via UPS or USPS. Not a ton of emails come through, if there is it is basic questions like what is the status of the order. Those emails are pretty easy to answer, just look it up on the store and you can see if it has been shipped or not. If shipped where is it.

Managing ads isn't time consuming, it takes less than 5 minutes a day to look at them and see either to increase budget or leave them be once you get everything set up.

If there is any issues with the order like a package got broken in transit, just let the supplier know. The are super responsive and answer 7 days a week. They will ship out a replacement the next day free of charge. The contacts of the supplier are included in the sale of the store as well.

Keep in mind I will be giving you the ad creative that worked for me, I will also provide ad creatives for products that you could test out. The only thing you need to do is take it over and you will be on your way to making money.

    How to grow this business

    This store has a ton of potential to grow and develop into a brand. First thing I would recommend is to expand the targeting for the ads to worldwide. Right now I am only targeting US and Canadian market and doing 6 figures in revenue per month. Once you expand to worldwide, your KPIs will go down even more. Which means more profit.

    In terms of running FB ads, I am including a step by step document on how I was able to do it so you could follow it and get similar if not better results. Since you are getting the FB pixel, you can run look a like audiences on day 1. It covers what I recommend doing on day 1 as well as how to test and multiple ways to scale ads.

    The sale also includes the ad creative, copy, interests on how I scaled the store to this level. It also includes ad creatives of potential products you could test out. Basically you get everything to help you succeed with this store from the start.

    I would take advantage of email marketing to get customers that already purchased from the store to purchase again. The store comes with a fairly large customer database that you could segment to remarket to by either emailing them newsletters monthly or giving them coupon codes to the store. It would cost you next to nothing to get them to purchase. These are customers that already trust the store since they already made a leap to purchase the first time.

    I would recommend expanding to different platforms as well. To name a few you could start advertising on Google Adwords, Pinterest, Snapchat, Youtube. Those platforms have their own version of the pixel allowing you to retarget across platforms no matter where the potential customer initially came from. This will increase the chance of conversions and retargeting campaigns makes it super easy to convert people compared to cold traffic.

    Last thing is to focus on growing the social media accounts for the store. I will provide 2 documents on how to grow stores specifically for Instagram & Pinterest. I have experience growing accounts organically on those platforms. For this store I focused on split testing to optimize conversion rates so I didn't focus growing the social media aspect of the store, but with the documents you can do so easily.
