General description

I started this business year and a half ago. It was my first business and I didn’t know where to start and what niche to choose. After testing lots of products I tried the pregnancy pillow which seemed to be selling so I found some more related products. Most of them were converting pretty good, which is the reason why I decided to choose maternity niche for my store. I figured out that all my best selling products are baby clothing and so, the store was eventually set up in the niche of baby clothing. I mainly use advertising on Facebook and Instagram. I also added email marketing after collecting enough emails on my list.

The main focus is customer service. I believe that every complaining customer, given the proper customer service, can be turned into your most loyal customer. All the problems are always solved quickly and efficiently, customers are happy. You won’t face the whole bunch of complaints on your first day of owning this store. Returns of the products bought are rare and only 6 chargebacks were filed since March 2017 (when the store was opened), 3 of which were won. I will also provide you with a little trick that will help you to win possible chargebacks.

All the products are either drop shipped from China or POD. China products are added using Oberlo. The store works with a helpful vendor who always solves any problems, works everything out, fulfills the orders in a timely manner and (which is extremely rare on AliExpress!!!) is very responsive to the messages. I will introduce you to him and provide with all the needed contact info.

The reason for selling this business is simple. I’m not passionate about the kids/maternity niche. When I was starting the business I was more concerned about the financial side of it but working on something you are not interested in turned out to be pretty exhausting . I’m working on another store in car industry but I don’t want this store to just disappear after all the time and hard work invested in it. As you can see from the report, I did not work on the store in summer. The store was on its own but was still profitable.

There are so many things that can be done to improve and grow this business and I will be happy to share my plans and the roadmap I created for the store. I could have done it all by myself but as I mentioned before I do not want to spend my time on the things that don’t make me happy.

What I have put into the store: I have created a professional website. Designed logo. I have set up all the needed apps. Product research + added more than 500 products to the store. Have created custom designs for print on demand. Did the market research + created very niche and targeted custom audiences on Facebook. I have been running FB fan page and IG account (content creation, engaging with audience, give aways). Email automation. I have been running email campaigns and FB campaigns. Set up the G suit and brand email.
