Why this business was started

I started this store because I wanted to see how my knowledge in digital marketing translates over to running online business. It's been very interesting to say the least. When I got my first sales soon after opening the store I new I had found a winning niche and audience. Over the past 2 years I've been testing many marketing channels, ad formats and email marketing automation flows (Klaviyo) and now know what works for this audience.

The reason of selling this business

The main reason why I started the store was to learn more about online business in addition to digital advertising. Now that the store is running quite automatically there isn't that much to do; I suppose I'm more of a startup guy. I'm thinking of focusing on my other businesses. I hope that the person buying the store is keen on growing the store further and with the acquired customer data and returning customer base that should be possible quite easily.

What's involved in running this business

Finding and creating new products and customer newsletters. Customer support is handled by VA. Facebook and Google advertising (another VA helps with creating FB ads) and optimising campaigns.

Other details about profit: Since I'm based in Finland (in EU) the usd to eur transaction fees affect my profit margins. That's also why I'm not marketing to UK; it brings lots of bureaucracy. If you're from US or outside EU this will be another easy country to start marketing to. I've also invested heavily on SEO with a consultant from Upwork and VA creating SEO friendly product descriptions: organic traffic from Google should start increasing in the coming months.

    How to grow this business

    I would start branching out to other arts and crafts products and create white label products with US based warehouse. Amazon has contacted me and asked if I would like to start selling on Amazon: that's also a potentially new avenue of growth. I would also start marketing in UK.
