Why this business was started

I love digital businesses, I was looking for a project in the ecommerce sector and I found a product that I KNEW was gonna be a hit:

  1. Huge margins
  2. Low AOV (good for the beginnings. Now we have increased it a lot!)
  3. "Wow! factor" - It's a new product that has become a trend in Germany an Spain
  4. "Instagrameable".

In a couple of months, we had been featured in: Vogue, Cosmopolitan, [REDACTED] other "fashion brands", business was growing!

Since then, I've invested A LOT in the brand, increased the [REDACTED] after two years working... we had a brand that people love! (And that is selling in the best retails of Spain) :)

The reason of selling this business

This is probably the most important question. There are several reasons:

  1. A year ago we went through a pretty tough period. Our "cash" is now in form of inventory. Sales continue to be there, but we have not much cash for marketing actions.

Put this 👆🏻 together with "I need to move forward to other projects", and you will see a strong reason for selling :)

  1. I am "techy". Fashion is completely out of my comfort zone. (I have improved in the last two [REDACTED] that's not my best skill at all!).

  2. It was a side project! It was not supposed to get this big! I mean...I love that it has, but two years have passed [REDACTED]'s time for next project!

Basically, I am selling to monetize my job in the last 3 years and try something new, but the brand still has a lot of growing potential!

What's involved in running this business

What any ecommerce takes (although other people say it's "automatic" 😅):

  1. Every two months: order inventory.
  2. Managing Ad Accounts
  3. Creating cool content

If you want to keep it as it is, then it's NOT a complete "work day" job.

If you want to make it grow to it's full potential, then I would advise to go 100% on it!

    How to grow this business

    • We are currently only on Spain, where we made about USD1.000.000 in sales. We started advertising the brand in other countries, and the brand is getting traction already on France, Germany, Portugal and Italy (about 20% of sales as of now)

    • New products: The brand is right now focusing on only one product (a very specific type of phone case). New products could be added to the catalog. We are a "tech fashion" brand: a fashion brand whose mission is to "dress" your tech gadgets.

    • Repetition rate is about 30% and our customers are already asking for new colors!

    • New channels: We have been invited to Fnac, ZALANDO and other channels that would increase revenue without more expenses other than the hours needed to set up the channel.
