Why this business was started
I have an exclusive partnership with a supplier in China with his own workshop for creation and customization of best selling products. We create unique products not sold on Amazon, AliExpress or anywhere else. Customers can engrave or print their own name on the products. On the store customers can in real time configure some products. We sell also normal products without customization. We sell products that everyone use everyday. Our products are eco-responsible and replace progressively the current products on the market. Mainly because they are natural, very effective and people love to use it. The business is focus on Eco-Responsible & Natural products, in beauty and health domains. As Google Trends show my targeted domains ( natural beauty & health products ) continue to grow up month after month. My turnover follows this growth.
I work with an exclusive agent : 1) he works as supplier. He arrange all the orders and all the tracking numbers directly on the store which he has access. 2) he has two shipping ways very good to ship directly to customers. Free shipping = 8-12 working days, Express shipping ( about 4$ ) = 6-8 working days. He work for free, I just pay products with discounted price because I bought all to him and have many orders. 3) we work in dropshipping so no risk with storage. He is in China. 4) he stores in his warehouse my branded packaging for free. He has a special relation with another factory to make customized packaging for very low costs. 5) he has an app to analysis the hot & trendy products that we can launch on my store. 6) he communicates directly with my workers in customer service. He is the orders manager. He is autonomous. 7) he has his own machines to customize the products. With his team he can produce 20,000 units a day. More than we currently sell so this is very good for scaling. 8) he only works with us as exclusive agent. 9) If necessary he can have a warehouse in Europe.
I also have a second supplier in case there is a problem with the main supplier. I also have an agreement with him that he arrange a stock of products only for my store. With two exclusive suppliers I'm not dependant of one of them and it is easier to negociate.
The store is multi languages and verified by professional translators. We sell in Italia, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Canada. No limits to scale business in all others countries. Products are not dangerous. Supplier has certificats about specifications of the products.
Currently the store is in autopilot because each employee takes care of a specific task of the store. They are trained and self-manage the store themselves. There are 4 employees. They live in Philippines, are very pleasant at work, very efficient, are professional workers, speak many languages, they know Shopify very well. Each employee are paid between 3$ and 5$/hour, they works between 30 and 40 hours per week. 1) Two are arranging customers service. They has many years experience in customer service. 2) One is arranging marketing ( photos, videos, social media creation, etc... ). He work as an agency. In his agency there are : 1 professional photographer and video maker, 1 SEO expert and 1 content creator for social media. I pay him for all jobs from members of his agency. 5$/hour for all his services. 3) One is arranging the social media moderation and customer service on social media. My supplier is also an employee because he arrange all orders and tracking numbers. I pay him only for the goods to ship to customers.
Shopify Plus called me 4 times to propose me to upgrade the store to Shopify Plus. Till now I focus on Europe markets so I didn't upgrade to Shopify Plus. But as Shopify Plus experts told me, there are great potential to scale the store with Shopify Plus. Extra Turnover of 71K USD in 6 months only with B2B customers ( they didn't placed orders on the store ). On 28776 orders shipped ( at 10th March ), only 12 has been returned.
It include the Amazon seller account where I sell these products. Conversion rate: about 11%. Customers reviews: 4,7/5
The reason of selling this business
I sell this store because I will soon start a full time job as CEO in a well known company in Switzerland. So it will be not possible for me to continue this dropshipping business.
