Why this business was started

I wanted to create an Australian run Dropshipping furniture store partnered with local suppliers at great, affordable prices. To give a more personal customer service experience then you might get from many dropshipping companies and follow each order from start to finish, so much customers felt appreciated and looked after, not just a number.

The reason of selling this business

Even though I have put my heart, time, money and soul into this business, I have another business that requires more of my attention and time to be able to focus and give this business the TLC it requires. There were some months where sales dropped ONLY due to hiring of incorrect marketing firms and reduction in ads to recover losses. I would love to see Desired Furniture as one of the main online furniture retailers in Australia and will fully support the new owners in what ever direction they take the website/ business. (I have paused the store currently. PW is DesiredFurniture)

What's involved in running this business

Product upload and maintenance, running advertising, customer messages (email, facebook, etc). Order fulfillment is mostly done manually, as I like to capture payments myself until I have 100% confirmed the item is in stock. Organising a furniture carrier and ordering the product is the only step. I have a select number of carriers I trust and use primarily. I have an employee from the Philippines who does all inventory, product uploads and changes, as well as creates posts for social media.
