Why this business was started
Coming out of college, it was difficult to land a job in digital marketing without any experience, it was even difficult to land an internship position. As I was applying for work, I spent a lot of time on YouTube learning and working on several different projects. This was a project for me to showcase that I've ran Facebook Ads in the past which helped secure the job that I am working at currently. I have no interest in building this business or putting any more money and effort into it. Looking to sell this off to a an experienced individual or business to grow the brand and scale to it's full potential.
In terms of how I discovered the product, I found a space in the market place that in my opinion was not yet being marketed or taken advantage of as best as it could be within a potentially huge industry. This service is offered in professional salons at a high cost for a one time treatment but this product is an at home kit that allows you to perform the treatment yourself for an average of 12 times at a fraction of the cost.
Upon doing research and testing, it was clear to see that this was a product that many people want but may not know it exists. One competitor has millions of views on their Facebook advertisements and I knew that I would be able to build a more elaborate store than theirs and take a piece of the pie.
The reason of selling this business
Working full-time and and focusing on other income drivers. Not interested in pursing this business any further.
As it has been built up in a good way with a seasoned Facebook pixel, I would rather pass it onto someone else who can take this business to its full potential. Only Facebook ads was used on my end to drive traffic to the business. Have not explored any other form of marketing or utilized my email list. There is huge growth opportunity for an individual well-versed in operating and driving traffic to an online business.
My drop shipping venture has been a hell of an experience. Glad to take the skills developed building out this business to my workplace and other projects.
What's involved in running this business
As it is a dropshipping type of business, it basically consist of receiving orders from customers, then ordering the products on the online platform on the distributor and give the shipping information required for the customer to receive its package straight from the distributor. I tend to order in bulk and ship out to customers in-house from time to time to increase margins.
Responding to email inquiries and social media comments is involved as well.
The writing of blog posts, sharing on social media, mailing list and other marketing strategies is favorable to gain more authority, improve ranking as well as the conversion rate but it is up to the next owner.
