Why this business was started

(Valued at $65,380 by Shopify) I have many dropshipping stores and I am always looking for new products to start selling and be one of the first websites to sell the product.

I ran across this website in late November and knew that it would be a huge product in the future. In early December, I found a supplier and began selling the product to the main 5 e-comm countries (US, UK, AU, NZ, CA)

After great results for the first days, I stopped advertising due to it being close to Christmas and didn't want to receive any chargebacks. I was planning to start selling towards the end of Chinese New Year when my supplier would be back in the office, but Covid-19 made me change my plans. I had to wait another month after Chinese New Year before I could start selling again.

Once the coronavirus slowed down in China, my supplier was allowed to start shipping again. This was great and I was selling my product just as well as I was in December, but then covid-19 got bad in the United States.

This was very difficult because shipping from China got much more expensive and took much longer. Before Covid-19 the total product cost with shipping was $28 and once the US had covid, the product+shipping to the USA was $35.

At this point, I had to adapt the business to be able to work and ship units in the US for cheaper. I then found 2 suppliers that had stock in China and were shipping for me. I then convinced the suppliers to start sending their products to the USA to be stored in warehouses since the domestic US shipping would be much cheaper and faster than shipping from China.

I now pay $30 per unit. This includes the product price and shipping. The AOV for the past month is $66.15, so if you know how to run ads correctly and create good content for the product, this website can scale much higher.

I do not have to pay any upfront costs for the products to be stored in the USA warehouses. The USA warehouses are a huge advantages compared to other sellers selling this product due to the shipping times. The short shipping times lead to fewer chargebacks and happier customers.

Please keep in mind that I was unable to advertise between Jan 9th-March 3rd due to Covid-19

I would continue to make great content for the product and continue to be one of the leading brands in the industry. I think the better content this product has, the bigger you can grow the company.

It is big on social media (tik tok & instagram) so if you are good with content, marketing, etc. you can scale this website to huge numbers. The main things you have to do are run ads, send the spreadsheets to the 2 suppliers, and customer support. I have been managing all 3 and it usually only takes around 1 hour a day.
