Q & A

Why should someone buy this store?

A buyer should have the desire be in the retail Music Industry and want to help design exquisite and expensive instruments alongside the customers and guitar builders. They should also preferably play guitar and be knowledgeable about the instrument and understand basic photography or be willing to hire a professional photographer on a regular basis. I can assist with how to negotiate per guitar pricing that will not cut into profitability.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Negotiate pricing and choose new lines of guitars to carry should they decide to change or add to the current inventory lines, preferably quality guitars at lower price points and consider carrying acoustic guitar lines as well. They should also consider a more serious marketing effort than we have, investing at least $1,000 monthly on advertising. We spent a very minimal amount on advertising.

What work have you put into the store?

Three years of daily web design, advertising, traffic monitoring and customer service around the clock, mostly via text and email. Built the relationships with some of the world's most sought after guitar luthiers, and have learned more importantly who to avoid doing business with. I learned how to personally photograph and edit all of the photos you see on the website.

How many hours does it take to run this business per week?
