I decided that the personal dental care/hygiene niche was a very popular niche among people. The products we sell are geared around personal dental hygiene and care. The store is doing extremely well selling in this niche, as the revenue shows.

To be honest, I don't have the effort, time, and advertising knowledge to take this store to the next level. I purchased this store on Shopify's Exchange in September 2020. At the time of acquisition, the store was making huge amounts of revenue and profit. So, I decided to purchase it, with the intention of carrying on what previous owner has done. This proved to be a big oversight on my part, because I did not know how challenging a store of this magnitude may be, especially with having no knowledge of Facebook advertising. Since I lacked these abilities, I am looking to hire a team/agency to manage the marketing of the store, and to bring it back to the powerhouse it once was. I decided to sell the store, because I do not want to be a liability to it's performance, and sell it to someone who does have the knowledge in ecommerce, and what it takes to run, expand, and market such a store. The store has huge potential in the right hands.
It's amazing how just a little bit of marketing generates sales quickly. This was supposed to be a supplement to what I currently do. So, I have decided to sell it, so the next person, can carry on and take this to the next level. I know I can give a wide range of reasons of why I'm selling, but I believe in honesty and transparency. The opportunity for this store is enormous. I would also like to note, that the decrease in sales from mid September until the present date, is not due to store failing, but due to me intentionally significantly decreasing ad spend, until I have a marketing team/agency in place.
Shopify/Exchange valued the store at $1,404,720 in September 2020, and has increased in value to $1,545,410 as of January 2021. I am selling at $500,000, to facilitate a quick sale.
What's involved in running this business
I have automated as much of the operations as I can. The orders are fulfilled and shipped daily by the supplier. The supplier downloads the orders on a daily basis, and fulfills and ships on a daily basis. An invoice is then sent, and paid, for a smooth transaction. I have a VA that handles all the emails, and deals with any and all customer concerns. I am also currently looking to hire a team/agency to handle the Facebook Ads Management. This was the most time consuming area involved with running the store. So I plan on making sure everything is done in an oversight capacity.
Traffic, and sales are generated mostly through Facebook, and Instagram ads. We also utilize our customer email database to send emails, for offers, promotions, and new products. This has proven to be very effective. And also retargeting those that purchased, and visited the website is very important as well.

How to grow this business
I would continue growing the store with new products, and focus on customer satisfaction. I would also suggest venturing into more platforms to market the store. All the revenue the store has generated has been mostly through Facebook, and Instagram. And another way to grow, is to expand to many more countries, and sell world wide.
Skills to have
Any previous experience with managing an ecommerce store would be a huge plus. Even though this can be semi-automated, having the knowledge of Facebook Ads, and other advertising platforms is a huge advantage, and very very important. You may not need to do it, if you have VA's or others doing it, but it's a definite plus to understand everything when overseeing the work everyone does. You are essentially a regional or global business. It is very important to have the knowledge associated with running such a business, to be successful.
