Why this business was started

I purchased this business from its original owner/founder in November, 2018. The original owner launched the company in October, 2017 but had a very demanding second career and did not have the time or energy to give to the business. I saw the potential in the business and took it over.

The reason of selling this business

I have decided to sell the business because my family is moving international and I will not have the time to dedicate to the business. After working on the business for the last 6 months, I believe it is in the ideal position to be handed over to a new owner who has a great vision. We recently changed the name of the business and sold through all of our existing inventory, so you can start fresh and lead the business in the direction of your choosing.

What's involved in running this business

The business is not overly complicated but does take about 10-15 hrs/week to run. This involves posting to social media, interacting with audience, shipping out orders, monitoring facebook ads, and responding to the occasional message/email. When shipments come in, you will need a few extra hours to unpack, label, and organize clothing. We will also be introducing you to our suppliers and transferring over $3,500 of credit at manufacturer.

Other details about profit: These profits were calculated from November-April. We sold through most of our inventory during that time and had only a few items on the website for April/May. Calculating average profit is very difficult because it completely depends how much inventory you purchased, how many different items you are selling, etc. I would say we started off very slow to get a feel for the market, but could have sold much more (if we had the inventory on hand, more colors, sizes, etc.) *Since Shopify is including April/May in the profit calculations, the numbers are much lower than what they would have been if we were still actively running the website, selling inventory, etc. The website was "active" during these months, but did not have products for customers to purchase.

    I came into this business with no formal training and have learned it very fast. The new owner(s) should understand social media (instagram/facebook/etc), and the basics of marketing. I learned all these from various free online sources.
