What's involved in running this business
Currently run as a drop ship business whereby all orders are fulfilled by third party suppliers so responding to customer and supplier emails is the main task but only takes around 2 hours a day. Other things that need to be done less frequently may include product updates, paying suppliers (monthly), seasonal blog posts (4 or 5 a year), looking at analytics in shopify, keeping an eye on any advertising and creating new seasonal products (if need be) and looking at ways to improve the overall business. The main period for sales is from beginning of December - Christmas - through to Valentine's Day to Mother's Day (usually mid March to end of March)

Sales growth can be achieved through new sales channels - Amazon, Ebay, Etsy and by engaging Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc) and by emailing subscribed customers special offers and reminding of Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day. Currently Google adwords is used with low conversion costs but more sales could be generated if the budget was expanded. There's also opportunities to increase product range with new drop ship suppliers, supplying directly and upselling. Adding international delivery would also grow sales. This business can be run from anywhere in the world as a standalone business or would make an ideal bolt-on to an existing florist, gift or drop ship fulfillment business or even a start up floristry business.
