Why this business was started

I started this business as a general store testing out tons of different products. Most of the initial products flopped at first, but when we started to niche down into the the automotive / health niche, that's where we found our winner. At the time, no one was selling anything like it online and it worked well. Ended up scaling to 1k per day before Facebook gave my account some trouble.

The reason of selling this business

I started this business almost a year ago testing products but it wasn't until around late October I really started to flourish with this brand. I'm selling it now for two reasons:

  1. Focusing more time on my main business. This started put as a side store just for me to test products but I decided to niche it down and scale, but now I realize time management is a huge aspect of running a successful business and want to dedicate more time to where it matters most for me.

  2. Passion in Niche This niche is mostly older people 45+ and since I'm much younger, I feel I'm not the best person to market to boomers as I am more in-tune with the gen z generation. It is very possible though. There are certain interests I have marketed to that have been extremely successful for me.

There's a few things required in running this business:

  3. Customer Service This is a big one. Building a great relationship with customers is one of the key parts in running a business.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

    My previous efforts to grow this business been successful, however, I had many issues scaling this business (facebook ad accounts disabled several times + BM disabled once, paypal + stripe cashflow issues, making a TON of stupid mistakes). When it first started out last April, I didn't have that much experience in Facebook marketing, and was more focused on growing a massive YouTube channel. The analytics on the back-end of YouTube studio sort of sparked a flare in me and I became increasingly interested in marketing and advertising, hence why I started this store and managed it until now. The knowledge I've learned from growing this store has been extremely valuable to me and while it's somewhat sad to say goodbye, it's time to focus on bigger and better things.

    My advice to the future owner is to have lots of experience in growing and scaling shopify stores, especially with Facebook ads. It would also help to have prior experience with graphic design and content creation, although that's a bonus.
