Why this business was started

We are professional brand builders; we build and sell e-commerce brands. Our sole intent was to grow this e-commerce business into a well known brand. Over the past five years we have successfully built and scaled other beauty brands before passing them onto a new owner for continued growth. We love to build brands, and have become extremely successful at doing so. But like everyone else, we crave the freedom that an online business provides, enabling us to live anywhere in the world. Astonishingly, it became apparent that demand for this product was increasing and this brand was growing fast.

Extensive research goes into every store and business we build. When choosing which niche or product to sell, we ensured this product had to be buyer intent, based on needs and wants. To keep the business as simple as possible, we decided to find one product at a mid ticket price. The product had to be evergreen, with a proven track record of healthy search history on Google Trends. To minimise ads management and social trends, our main goal was to ensure our product would be 100% buyer intent, generating sales from Google Shopping and Google ads. After extensive and intensive research, into products suppliers and marketing, we had decided on our product. Immediately, we could see there was an opportunity to add value to an already buying market.

To avoid unnecessary outgoings, we fulfilled orders using the dropshipping model. Our supplier agreed to use our logo to brand our product and box, setting it apart from competitors. Delivery times were extremely quick, ranging from 3 to 5 working days. Before long, it became apparent that the brand had outgrown the dropshipping model for the UK. However, we still wanted to live and work from anywhere. Currently, we’re able to offer next day delivery using a Fulfilment Partner based in the UK to manage, fulfil and store our products. The business requires a total hands off approach with regards to product fulfilment, allowing us to focus on growing the brand and enjoy free time.

The business is at a fully operational level. We have a strong business relationship with our supplier having regular video and Whatsapp contact. We’ve registered our business with Trading Standards complying with all safety standards, providing up to date Technical File and Safety Certificates that are required for distance selling. The brand benefits from offering Buy Now Pay Later gateways Klarna, Clearpay and Afterpay, allowing for cross border selling. We’ve built a good relationship with an e-commerce video production company to create product videos across our ads and social content. This again requires very little input and is a totally hands off approach. The business will be sold with 6 to 12 months worth of content. We’ve hired a design company for Product innovation and redesign. We are now at the final stages of production for a newer, more modern and user friendly version of our current product, with patents and design copyright in place. We have a strong relationship with our Fulfilment Partner which requires very little input. Our Google Shopping ads benefit from 5 Star Google Review Ratings and currently have access to a Google Rep when needed. We also have access to a Snapchat Rep which has always benefited the brand. We use an UK based VA for all admin duties who is fully competent and knowledgeable of this business.

This brand is managed from home. This is a Turnkey business, meaning there is very little input required to manage operations. There are 3 tasks that require the business to continue operating smoothly. As the business is marketed using paid advertising, this would need to be managed each day. Training and full support will be provided with the option of ongoing support to business in the future. The ad accounts are running at a steady pace with a profitable ROI so require much less management. Second is Customer Service. We currently hire an e-commerce VA to respond to customer emails and queries, deal with product fulfilment and any other admin tasks. However, this takes very little time and full training and support will be provided. Third task involves ordering products to be sent to the UK Fulfilment Centre Partner from our supplier in China. This is a 10 minute task which is carried out once every 6 weeks.

    How to grow this business

    Currently, we run ads in only one country being the UK. We would test marketing campaigns in other countries. As the business currently offers the buy now pay later gateway Afterpay, this can be used in Australia, New Zealand, United States and Canada.

    Paid ads are currently running at a steady rate across Google, Snapchat and Facebook/ Instagram. Scaling the current ads would generate increased sales.

    We would grow our email list and launch an email marketing campaign. Social media marketing via organic content across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.

    Influencer marketing is a huge convertor within the beauty niche. We have tried this with some Micro Influencers and brand ambassadors which led to an ROI of 12. Contacts of the brand ambassadors and companies we have used will be provided to the new owner.

    As the brand is already established with high customer feedback and trust, there’s a huge opportunity to sell more products on the website. The business can also be turned into a community brand, not restricted to e-Commerce. There is also the exciting opportunity to release and scale the Second Generation model to our current customers and prospective customers.
