Why this business was started

During Covid-19 (we started this business in September 2020), hygiene was/is a big concern, and not a lots of focus was put on the best tools to clean toilets. We discovered an excellent toilet brush, and after using it for many days, we decided to sell such a product to the US market only, and create a brand to propel more sales of similar products to this niche market.

The reason of selling this business

Ecocotoilet has an excellent reputation and our aftersales is great. However, to be more successful we need to go into other social network advertising other than facebook (i.e. not just facebook), and towards a more international market outside the USA. Clearly we do not have the skills to make this work. IOS14 made our situation more difficult too since most of our customers are IOS users. However, we have some great assets (customer listing) to make look alike audience on Pinterest, and other social networks. Rather, we would like to create other stores and continue to advertise on facebook for the USA market only with products more oriented towards Android users instead (i.e. less premium products). We believe that a good owner with skills in the international market and with other social network than Facebook could make this store fly to new highs, for sure in Q4 this year.

      Shopify site will be transferred to the new owner including the logo and images by email (multiple zip files), and providing the new owner with access (login and password). We will before handing over those codes, remove our banking details from the Shopify website. Also, the vanity phone number will be transferred including our phone service contact if requested by the new owner so that we can facilitate the porting to the new shop owner.
    • Personal support after sale

      We'll teach you how to order stock, fulfill orders, reply to customers that need extra help. Also, we fill provide access to our full custom software solution (reporting, tracking and delay of order shipment, ...) for the first 3 months until the new owner find its own solution. For the transition, we could have 4x1hr the first week. Then, 1hr each week for the remaining 11 weeks (total of 15 hours over 3 months). We propose to do this by telco (using skype, or similar technology since we can share screens). If screen is not needed, we could use a regular phone call. Our mobile phone number will be provided, and we will agree on a regular schedule with the buyer according to his/her timezone and ours-we are quite flexible.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

    We currently only advertised on Facebook ads and in the US. Eventhough we experienced $60 CPM's we were still able to sell profitable. The performance on facebook did drop especially after the iOS 14 update. So I would suggest to switch to other platforms and other countries, we didn't touch them yet. We also never really succeeded with our retargeting strategies, perhaps if you're good with that you could grow this store with that as well.

    Skills to have

    Knowing how to manage adsets, fullfill orders. We have a phone service which automatically assists customers. Sometimes you need to get back to hem with an e-mail or call them if the customer service assistant doesn't know how to deal with their situation.
