Why this business was started
I started this business in college as a way to make money by my own means and not work under somebody else. It started as just a little hobby and experiment of sorts and grew into something I never imagined. Being able to make a sustainable income off of working whenever and wherever I wanted was mind-boggling to me, and the future owner of this store will have plenty of data and a large mailing list to continue to drive new and old customers back to the store to continue the growth and profitability of the store.
The reason of selling this business
I decided to sell my business because I am going to invest into a house and can use this sale as a large deposit. This store has been a good source of income for me, but it is time for me to part ways with the store I have tirelessly worked on and let the new owner tend to it and let it grow even more.
What's involved in running this business
The basic business operations include running advertisements, primarily via Facebook Ads which can take as little as 5 minutes or an entire day depending on the amount of money the new owner wishes to spend and the amount of ads they want to run. Besides the marketing, all that remains is to set up a customer service team in which I have hired two virtual assistants from UpWork to handle things, such as responding to emails and Facebook messages for me and the new owner can substitute their own VAs for mine. Lastly is fulfilling the orders which I do myself each night through the Shopify app, DSers, which lets me bulk fulfill the orders in a click and then pay for the orders 10 at a time on AliExpress. Then I click the "sync" button within DSers so the AliExpress order numbers are shown to be paid in the DSers app and then DSers automatically emails customers to notify their item has been shipped and gives them a tracking link.

How to grow this business
Over the next five years, I would continue using paid advertising through Facebook and Instagram ads to drive traffic to the site, along with differentiating the marketing with influencers and advertising through keywords on Google to have a more omni-channel approach. Consider the customer base, this brand has grown substantially since its conception, so there's much more room to grow and develop the store to a known name of its own.
Skills to have
The new owner must know how to do online advertising either via Facebook Ads, influencers, Google AdWords, or something of the sort. Understanding how to have good customer service in responding to emails and basic Shopify functions are a must.
