I started this business to build another income stream for myself with the goal of scaling it to sell and move onto my next venture. E-commerce and brand-building is a passion of mine, so seeing it start from nothing with only a $2,000 investment to generate over $3,000,000 in 2019 is truly extraordinary and shows the amount of continued growth this business can have in the right hands.

The daily activities involved in running this business is mostly running Facebook Ads, which can be automated given their automated rules or a service, such as Reveal Bot to scale and kill your ads for you. Alternatively, the marketing can entirely be outsourced to another company and then this business would be entirely automated. I currently have 4 virtual assistants working as contract workers that I hired on UpWork for $4/hr wage workout around the clock to respond to customer comments, answer FB/IG messages, respond to emails, and help with processing order cancellations and refunds. They also place and pay for orders for me with my credit card information and contact suppliers on my behalf, so once this business started to pick up some momentum I managed to outsource all mundane tasks to allow the new store owner to basically use this as another free income stream given the proper marketing plan.

    Over the next five years, the ideal way to grow this store would be to continue promoting it on social media in the form of Facebook (and Instagram) Ads. In conjunction with this, using an omni-channel approach would help grow it faster by using the email list to retarget customers for recurring revenue along with using other advertising platforms, such as Google Ads or Snapchat to engage even more potential customers. Due to the size of the brand, word-of-mouth also goes a long way to get sales from free promotion, so honing in on the customer experience would be another ideal way to help grow this to a household name brand.

    As the new store owner, general knowledge in e-commerce is a requirement along with the ability to create and scale Facebook Ads. The majority of current sales from this store are driven by Facebook Ads that I create, so the new owner must be competent in advertising.
