Why this business was started

I have been trying to get into dropshipping model. I like the idea of starting an online business that can make you passive income with a ton of investment in the beginning.

The reason of selling this business

I run a successful offline business and recently my partner and I decided to expand it further. These new plans will require more of my time which eliminates time for me to run this store. I decided to sell this store rather than my offline business is because that one has been around longer. It is a business that my partner and I went into and it would make the relationship a bit messy if I decided to remove myself from it. It saddens me to let this store go because it has a lot of potential since it is an evergreen niche but I know it is the right thing for me to do. If I keep hanging on to it thinking I might make more time for it to grow it into someone massive. I would either not have any time for my family or have my offline business suffer. I know there are a ton of entrepreneurs out there that can take what I started and scale it into someone massive.

What's involved in running this business

Most of the time is spent looking to see if there are new angles of marketing (Create new creatives for the product, which include editing, writing script and finding new clips and thumbnails) The rest is fulfillment, answering customer emails, looking at the ads. It isn’t someone that takes a ton of time to run, since all our products are shipped in the US there aren't a lot of customer service emails. They get the product quickly which eliminates a ton of customers asking where their product is. I would say maintaining a relationship with the seller is crucial so they can help with whatever you need if something comes up in terms of fulfillment. I developed that relationship with the supplier, I will be including that in this sale.

    How to grow this business

    This store has a ton of potential to expand and develop into a brand. I would focus on developing a social media presence (pinterest, instagram, facebook and youtube etc.) Either organically or through paid channels, it would allow the store to develop a loyal customer base that is the exact people you want to target for these products.

    In this sale of this store, it comes with a document on how to advertise on Snapchat. Everything you need to test and scale products.

    I would also focus on expanding to different platforms and advertise on them. To name a few you could start advertising on Google Adwords, Pinterest, Youtube. Those platforms have their own version of the pixel allowing you to retarget across platforms no matter where the potential customer initially came from. This will increase the chance of conversions and retargeting campaigns makes it super easy to convert people compared to cold traffic.

    With this store comes past customers email that you know are interested in a specific niche, it would be super easy to generate additional sales via email marketing channels when you launch a sale or introduce a new product to the store.

    After a certain point, I would encourage the future owner to hire a VA to handle day to day things like customer service, finding new products, fulfilling orders etc.

    Skills to have

    I would suggest the future owner be able to understand the dropshipping business model. With the sale of the store, I am giving the future owner the ad copy I used that works, the ad itself that I spent hours creating. (Even if it is a 30 second ad, it takes time to find clips, write a convincing script, find a thumbnail that works and split test different ones to finally rule out the true winner) Included in the sale is the interests I used that have worked for me to generate the sales I did and new products within the niche that I see potential in. (I will include ad creative for each of the products, the thumbnail, the ad copy that could work and interests to target for those products.)

    I am basically giving you everything to allow you to run the store successfully.
