Why this business was started
I've always wanted to start an online business. I luckily found a full-service agency to create and run the store for me, so it started off on a good path from the beginning. I have lots of customer service and email marketing skills, and I have a keen eye for branding so I was able to contribute more from the aesthetic side of things. Going with the agency was a great idea because it allowed me to work on other projects and this store was essentially fully automated and self sufficient while ads were running traffic to the website.

I have 2 other businesses running currently and have moved which has created a different focus for me at this time. I thought it would be best at this time to hand off this business to an aspiring entrepreneur or perhaps someone who wants another stream of income. This business has a lot of potential as it was capable to achieving 6 figures in sales during a time where the economy was at a very low point in March/April, with ample advertising running to this store it could easily generate 6 figures every month like we almost did in April where we got about $89k in sales in 30 days.

Running traffic to the website, we suggest social media advertising as the best and quickest source of sales. We can provide details on the audience to target for highest conversion rate. Fulfilling orders with the apps on the store, we can provide the supplier we currently use if the new owner would like to continue carrying the current inventory. Basic email marketing for the subscribers list you build from running advertising. Customer service or order fulfillment could be really easy if you automate your email campaigns or hire a V.A. for a small fee a couple days a week.

How to grow this business
Increase advertising to the site via social media. Hire influencers to run posts or stories to promote the website. Increase the inventory available to include mens/womens streetwear clothing or possibly watches and other accessories. The new owner could focus on an advertising strategy or even hire an advertising agency as that was my way of being able to get the store to 6 Figures in sales in under 100 days of being a brand new store. The buyer is expected to create new social media accounts and advertising accounts when the store is transferred over.
Skills to have
Basic marketing as shoes are pretty self explanatory, but it would be nice to have an understanding of the demographic that buys our shoes (typically Men in the USA 35+ age). We kept it simple in terms of our advertising by only using an image (no videos needed for a shoe advertisement) but hiring an agency to run the ads would be very helpful. Customer service and email marketing are also very good skills to have during this global pandemic in regards to packages taking longer than usual and customers wanting more consistent updates.
