Why this business was started

We didn't actually start this business. We started working on it recently as a side project & purchased it from the previous owner. Our goals were to learn more about running a business & specifically running an online business.

Previous owner started it ~5 years ago and decided to sell because they were no longer passionate about the fashion industry.

The reason of selling this business

We both work full time jobs and don't feel like we can give enough time to this currently to grow it. Neither of us have as much experience in the fashion industry and we feel that is holding us back from enjoying running the business and growing it to its full potential.

We have some other things that we would like to dedicate our time to as well.

What's involved in running this business

At this point, we mostly just need to respond to customer service questions via email. Previous owner hired a VA to do that when it was more busy.

There are currently some orders that need to be manually fulfilled through Oberlo as well.

However, most everything else has been set up & is in an automated state. We have someone fulfilling ~95% of the orders. Some email campaigns are set up. We recently set up SMS. I wouldn't say we spend more than 2hrs most weeks operating the business.

To reach a state where the business is running efficiently and growing, it would be helpful to build out more email campaigns (with new offers) and have consistent social media posts.

We have turned off advertising entirely, so that would likely be helpful to work on when you take over the store.

    How to grow this business

    To grow this store in the next five years, I would focus on the following: - focus on building a larger influencer marketing channel - build a community (Facebook group) and increase returning customers - begin manufacturing items to build a "brand" instead of dropshipping - focus on improving shipping times - growth through acquisitions

    Skills to have

    I think this opportunity would be best for someone who has experience running an e-commerce store already & maybe has a portfolio of them. Specific knowledge of the fashion space & this particular niche will be helpful as well.
