I love working in the wellness space. I think this is a growing category that will continue to see lots of growth and evolve as consumers demand healthier food and products. The beauty of this brand is that you can grow with more product lines outside of nuts. There is also the opportunity to expand into other wellness categories.

The reason of selling this business

I have a newborn and a four year old. I overestimated how much time I would have to devote to the business and I pre-maturely jumped back into entrepreneurship after delivering my baby. Point blank, this momma isn’t tired. Allgood has so much potential and will be successful, it's a matter of having the time to devote -- around 15 hours a week to start.

What's involved in running this business

-Sourcing the product - we have a supplier and co-packer that we are passing along in the sale who is willing to do small runs <500 units per sku. I spent a lot of time vetting suppliers and co-packers, so this is truly amazing that they are willing to work with small businesses. Plus they supply a really good product with great turn around times. The buyer can reach out to them and get an product run going very quickly. -Marketing - Email, social media, online ads — You are starting with an extensive email list and all of the social media accounts are already setup with followers! This is gold. It’s a matter of starting to post. Also, I know email marketing works, so starting to send emails will generate sales. -Customer service

Other details about profit: We haven't shipped our first order. When I purchased the business, they had been dormant for a year. I've spent the past couple of months updating the website, vetting suppliers/co-packers, vetting fulfillment companies, updating packaging, and updating branding. In prior years, then business wasn’t sold in retail.

    How to grow this business

    Allgood is an established brand with a loyal following, especially in Utah and the west coast where it was founded. While the business has been on a hiatus, there is still a demand for the product, and the business is a part a the healthy snack market, which is a $23 billion dollar businesses globally!

    With that being said, there are a couple of things that will help the business grow: 1) Invest in facebook and Instagram ads 2) Create content -- content an king! The opportunities and can creative ideas around recipes, sustainability messages, wellness content are endless. There is an opportunity to share this content on Instagram and Pinterest and really start to tell the story of Allgood as a wellness brand focused on health you snacking. 3) Sell on Amazon 4) Explore the former retail accountant hat we’re carrying Allgood.
