Business Story

Why this business was started

I started this business for the freedom it gave me. I am an actor and wanted a source of income that wasn't waiting tables or working in an office from 9-5 everyday. It was a way of making money without giving up all my time to a job. I also saw a lot about Dropshipping at the time and loved the fact I didn't have to handle inventory.

The reason of selling this business

Honestly, I've neglected it. Ecommerce is not my main interest and I have preferred to focus on my main career. I'm still managing it on a part time basis, but really would rather sell it on as it's a shame to see it wasted.

What's involved in running this business

Fulfillment (all done on auto order through Dropified - which will be included). Freelancer management - Ajay who manages Google Ads requires a Skype call once every 2 weeks. (Ajay is awesome! Top rated on Upwork) Facebook Ad management - 5-10 hours a week if you do it yourself. Less if you outsource. Content creation (i reccomend ordering a few of each pair and take your own photo/video content of the products... converts A LOT higher on FB)

This business was founded: almost 3 years ago

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

SH has been sitting on auto pilot for a while now and it's time to pass it on. I have passive Google Shopping ads at the minute and its paying a decent profit towards my rent. But if you look back to 2017 & 2018 when I was using Facebook ads then you'll see much higher returns. That with email Marketing (approx 7k subscribers) the store can be returned to the $30k revenue months experienced when I was giving it my attention.

    Skills to have

Facebook Marketing Google Ads Email marketing Freelancer relationship management (I recommend outsourcing where you can - I can recommend good freelancers and include current relationships in the deal).

I am an actor & got into dropshipping to finance my career without juggling 2 full time jobs. I'm now more focused on my acting career & can't give this store the attention it needs. It's a great business with a great track record & would be a shame to see it wasted.

    Why use Exchange?

Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores

    Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.

Once you log into your Shopify account for the first time and choose a subscription plan, Shopify Support Gurus are available 24/7 to help you with the settings of the store.
