Why this business was started

We are French students, and we are interested in new technologies, web advertising, marketing. We were curious to see what dropshipping could give and decided to start our own shop, which brought us experience and knowledge. We also knew the owner of a similar shop, who gave us tips to get started, develop our site. We started with very little order, then with a little investment, we were able to develop our brand for over a year.

The reason of selling this business

We have launched our site only to have more knowledge and better know about dropshipping. It’s an additional source of income, but it’s not our main job. We are students in Finance today, and do not want to do e-commerce our job.

What's involved in running this business

We contact different “Influencers” on Twitter, with thousands and millions of followers. We pay for example 10 RT for 50€. In addition, we did not use Facebook Ads or Google Ads. We complete the orders ourselves, about twice a week, or after a big operation. It takes about 1h a week via Oberlo, a command takes 20 seconds to make. To select the products, we used other shops that were already working, and then we refined our choices based on the number of clicks on the tweets, and customer reviews. Today, the products displayed are the ones that sell the best. We sometimes needed GFX elements, or translation, to do this, we use freelance workers on different sites.

Taking care of the site doesn’t take a lot of time, but it takes up the mind, and as students, we couldn’t take care of it all year long. In the same way, it is very important to develop a good brand image, by publishing more on social networks, being active, via giveaways for example. Finally, I think you can find others products for sale. Indeed, our site has not changed in more than a year, I think there are interesting new products to sell !
