General description

Anima Medical ('anima' - noun: soul, life) was founded in February 2017 by a doctoral student at Oxford who was concerned with the rising cost of doctor visits and routine checks for older patients. His team went to work looking for the highest quality products worldwide, which were available at the best prices. The goal was lowering the amount of time and money required of older patients for routine medical checks.

Anima provides a wide range of medical supplies with a focus on those which allow our customers the freedom to monitor their own blood pressure, blood sugar, blood oxygenation and heart rates. In addition, we provide other products which are meant to help our customers improve their health and overall quality of life.

This is a drop ship business so no inventory is physically kept and all products are shipped from our suppliers in China. Anima's best selling products have been orthotic insoles and compression socks for the relief of plantar fasciitis. Marketing has been done primarily through facebook advertising and email campaigns.

With our best selling products customers were acquired for 2-3 USD through facebook advertising leaving a remaining margin of 8-12 USD depending on the product.

I'm selling the business because I've been finishing my doctorate and started another venture. I haven't been actively advertising for several months and decided that if I'm not going to be actively generating revenue then I should sell the business.

This store is a great investment with simple best selling products. Returns and exchanges are unheard of so it's easy to run so far as customer service is concerned.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Future owner can improve the business by diversifying advertising. I was busy working on a doctorate and several other products and didn't learn to use advertising avenues other than facebook.

I honestly can't even guess. Once it was running however it only required a couple of hours work per day between this and another online business - primarily to process orders through oberlo and respond to occasional emails from customers.
