Annie Housewife started a project for my wife. She had an ETSY shop and we were looking to build out. We eventually took on inventory from out crafters, trying to find the right mix.
We extended into drop shipping but not extensively.
It is a home decor store that carries not so common items. Items that stand out or catch the eye.
The store has good SEO, good social following though it needs an active hand.
Financials and traffic
I open and close the stores sometimes depending on my traveling schedule and inventory. This store has seasonal ups around Spring, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Summer is usually a little lower but constant.

I have spent on blogging, facebook ads, pinterest ads and IG ads in the past. I haven't been consistent in the last year so there hasn't been much spending. Personal issues have pulled me away from the store for a while. I only started touching the store in the past few months. We sold more in 2016 than 2017. Would not be the case if no for personal issues.
I am a SEO internet marketer by trade so the site was a side labor of love. Structurally the site and brand are good. Brand is uniform across many social platform and we receive a decent amount of traffic despite being relatively inactive for a while.
We still have some inventory of the best seller. With drop shipping options and more product sourcing options, it should be a pretty successful home decor store.
I also have inventory that I can include. I will be willing to include most of the inventory that is over a year old for free, but the most popular items were restocked a few month ago and I would need to be compensated for them.
How can the future owner improve the business?
There is a good theme that was purchased but never launched. The new theme works well with larger catalogs. We were planning to use it as we added more dropship items but we never deployed it.
Use that theme for a store relaunch.
Social has been a good driver, especially pinterest. Dedicating the time to a good social campaign will help. Blogging also banked us solid returns.
Source more products and look into more dropshipping if need be.
What work have you put into the store?
The store ranks well for SEO. We built a strong following on Facebook and especially Pinterest. We have investing in advertising and blogging over the years. We had a steady social media approach for some time. The domain age is over 5 years and we had the social profile for almost as long.
I am an internet marketer. I started this site with for wife. The bones of the site and marketing are solid. It just needs the time to manage and add more products.
I closed the store for a while last year (you'll see a big dip in numbers). I am include most of the inventory in the sale. Even without doing much, the store makes sales. If you put an effort into it, can really churn.
