Why this business was started

This was my teams main store at one point, we profited very well off this store through early 2020, but started moving in other directions and just haven't had time to come back and work on this store again. We wanted to test out new marketing angles in different countries where the competition wasn't so fierce. It ended up working very well, we offer very attractive and eye catching products for unbeatable prices and the customers love it. We funnel them into purchasing more items with free shipping fees, ultimately increasing our AOV and profit margins. There are thousands of products similar to the ones on this store out there, which leaves this business tons of room to grow and fine the needle in the haystack. We really enjoyed this marketing angle as the profits were high and the concept was simple. It worked very well targeting and converting customer.

The reason of selling this business

COVID-19 placed a damper on the business in February, I had to stop all ads and stop sending out products from our supplier. At this time, I moved on to other projects and had to focus on other things outside the ECOM space. Once things began to open up, I found myself to busy to be able to put the time and effort needed to return this business to its glory days. The potential is still there, I have just become too busy to and focused on other things to give this store the attention it needs.

Other details about profit: Currently, sales/revenue is low because we haven't had the time to manage it properly. In the past we managed to obtain very profitable days (1k - 2k) with very little work. February was rough due to CNY and COVID, we had 0 ads running and had to handle refunds to keep customers happy. The average monthly profit varied a bunch during our time running the store, though it averaged around 8-10k in the months of December and January.

    The store is quite branded and I believe this store can work exceptionally well once a branded approach is taken. If someone takes the time to actually post on social media, stay engaged with customers and continues to offer excellent products at this price point, this store can be very big.

    Basic understanding of Shopify. Working with a third party supplier, contacting them via skype and making payments. Basic knowledge of Facebook ads. The store is in French, but you do not need to speak French. Google Translate works wonders.
