We wanted something we could run from anywhere. We have been in a pretty major transition in life and wanted something that would allow us to work from home. This fit the bill perfectly. Other than some trips to get supplies and mail things now and then, we could run this business from anywhere.

What's involved in running this business
Updating store with prices and sales, receiving and processing purchase orders, monitoring email and Shopify for new orders, when a new order arrives, the Seller creates a Product Order email for the supplier - followed by updating the order tracking number when applicable, on a monthly basis, the Seller adds, removes, modifies any monthly promotions or pricing.

Seriously dive into Google Ads. Also, trade events (while not necessary) can provide massive bang for your buck when it comes to contacts and adding products to your line. New owner could look into GSA and another whole market opens up! Since we will no longer be a retailer for our current suppliers, we would have to remove the product photos. The buyer would then have to apply with the current suppliers in order to carry their products. Suppliers provide excellent product photos. Then it's just a matter of uploading the photos that the suppliers let you use.
Skills to have
Google Ads would be a great skill to to master. If you can dive into how to unlock traffic potential offered through Google Ads, this could be a valuable skill. Otherwise, general knowledge of products is a plus, but not necessary.
