Business Story

Why this business was started

I won't tell you a fancy story here, how I had a huge passion for women fashion products. I pride myself on being completely honest and this store was definitely intended to be profitable fast and I achieved this outcome by launching a lot of products and doubling down on the ones that were perceived well by the target audience. That being said, I learned from my previous stores that the customer experience is vitally important, so although being extremely profitable with the first sale via cold traffic, I never launched products which don't work or will leave us with unhappy customers. We got a very healthy refund rate of 5-12% and I will teach the future owner of this business how to find products which will make this shop grow with happy customers. At the end, this is much more fulfilling anyways.

The reason of selling this business

I plan to just focus on one e-commerce brand and move on to other kinds of ventures, more specifically launching an app that I'm working on for quite some time.

What's involved in running this business

The store is in the women niche. Therefore, there is an infinite amount of products that could be launched on it. The usual process/tasks: - Product Researcher looks for new products that might fit and evaluates based on a proven research sheet - Store owner (you) take a look at this sheet one time a week and decide with your personal preference (if there is any) which products should be launched - Product Researcher then imports the products into the store and adds a product description - Ads assistant creates a video ad for the product - Store owner creates a Pinterest/Facebook ad campaign and evaluates the results within the next week, leaving profitable campaigns running only - Customer support assistants make sure that in the background every customer e-mail gets a response

The store owner has a work load of few hours per week and these tasks could easily be outsourced as well to someone you would trust with the ad campaigns.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Honestly, there is so much potential for this store as it's tailored for women products. I would grow the store by launching more products and introducing more advertising channel such as google ads. Furthermore, I would implement more effective e-mail campaigns to make use of the 25k + subscriber list.

    Skills to have

It would be beneficial if the new store owner has experience with the basics of running ads on Facebook/Pinterest, however I will personally make sure that he/she knows the details of running the ads. It's pretty straightforward really.
