I have always had a passion for entrepreneurship and I knew that pet goods is a huge industry with endless opportunity. Our target demographic for this store are women aged 30+ which is perfect for Facebook advertising.
The reason of selling this business
We have made the hard decision to step away from this store as we have now branched out into the health and beauty industry, in which we are developing our first private label brand. Unlike this store which has more or less been able to run itself, our new brand is a lot more hands on and requires many more hours of work.
What's involved in running this business
We no longer do any active advertising for this store. All sales we receive since mid 2020 are 100% organic traffic from ranking high on Google. However, if we were to resume advertising (which could easily be done tomorrow). Most of the work is touching base with our customer service representative and sourcing agent to assist them with any questions or concerns they may have (order inquires mainly) for no more than 45 minutes per day, and the remaining time is spent maintaining Facebook ad campaigns (refreshing ad creatives, scaling etc) or sending out email campaigns. In regard to order fulfilment, our amazing sourcing agent has complete access to the Shopify which allows them to automatically fulfil orders as they are received, which means we don't have to lift a finger. The main workload comes when you decide to expand the product range. However, this is completely at your discretion as we already have an amazing product which you can continue selling and develop further if you wish.
