Why this business was started

My partner and I began working with shopify three years ago to escape the corporate world and work on our terms. We chose the beauty niche for this particular store because it is a continually growing and evolving industry. Beauty, as a niche, has created a lot of wealth for entrepreneurs and business minds alike. Prior to starting this store, we grew instagram accounts. The accounts that always grew the fastest were the makeup/beauty pages. After catching on to this trend we decided to combine the two and the store was born.

The reason of selling this business

Our favorite part about shopify is the creation process. Watching the store go from $0-$1000 per day is the most exciting part. Once the store is constantly hitting numbers and needs little attention we feel like our job is done. We are both highly creative people and feel that in the initial creative building, growing and launch phase we are the happiest. This is also our 5th store currently running and we have begun to feel overwhelmed with the up keep of so many ads, products, customers, employees etc. We love this store but feel that we must continue on. We will continue to build new shops and divert more attention the others were working on.

What's involved in running this business

Currently we have 2 international employees that deal with customer support and order fulfillment. occasionally they will have a question and they contact us via skype. We have an instagram account that posts products on its feed multiple times per day generating sales. We have an employee woking on our ads for facebook. If you know how to run facebook ads this will be no issue. There is a very well seasoned pixel that has been running since launch All products have already been assessed and relationships have been made with suppliers. Other than ads there is little to no maintenance because of our employees.

    How to grow this business

    Put focus on pushing ads with email, facebook, google, bing and instagram. Create a brand ambassadors program to push products though influencer marketing. Add up sells and cross sells on every product. Continued product research for new products in the field.
