Barbella Apparel is a fitness apparel line created for women, by women. We provide some of the best quality leggings, sports bras, brand tees, fitness accessories and more! Established in October 2017 in El Paso, Texas, home to the UTEP Miners and Khalid. Barbella Apparel was created to inspire women to feel beautiful and empowered in and out of the gym. In the span of a year Barbella has been featured on several popular influencer pages and YouTube videos, and has made thousands of loyal repeat customers. Barbella utilizes both drop-shipping and inventory sales. All items featured on the store have been wear tested, and are of the absolute best quality. Whether the new owner decides to continue the drop ship method, or partner with our manufacturer's in Shanghai, there is a great opportunity to grow this online store. We have a solid customer base, influencers that have partnered with us, and suppliers. Currently the business is run by a team of 2. There is so much opportunity with this store. The only reason I have decided it be best to give the ownership to someone else is because the store has grown so much to the point that I can not handle the customer service and sales that we are getting. I am a full-time nurse and full-time Nurse Practitioner student and also own a Public Relations Firm. Someone with business and marketing knowledge could grow this brand to something huge, and I'd love to see that growth happen! We built our fan and customer base off mostly free advertising.
Though we have had great success with Social Media Marketing, someone is more detail oriented with customer service e-mails, and drop shipping orders could improve this business. In addition, getting products into a warehouse instead of drop-shipping could provide an even greater profit. As far as marketing, someone who is good with Google Ad-Sense and other online marketing applications could grow the customer base even more. You already have a large customer base to work with, as well as influencer contact.
We have marketed Barbella Apparel over Instagram, YouTube ( Hopescope, several big influencers). We have held free fitness challenges and had a local fashion show in El Paso, Texas this past August. We have professional photos ( tons) of models modeling our items and have done several photo shoots. Our brand has been featured on websites and in local magazines. On average, about 10 hours a week are worked in total toward Barbella Apparel, and we get a minimum of 15 orders a week.

Other details about profit: We recently switched to dropshipping, which dropped our profit margins. When we were ordering our products, our profits were much higher- but we had to ship our own items. There is a lot of flexibility depending on how you want to run this store.

If I had time to grow the business, I'd order more samples and get even better products on board. I'd provide exemplary customer service. I'd reach out to influencers to get people who match our brand to wear our items and promote. If I had all of my time to dedicate to Barbella Apparel, I know that even though I do not have experience in business, the branding and quality speak for itself and it be very easy to market the brand and grow it substantially in way less than 5 years.
I did all my own photography, graphic designing, drop shipping, and customer service. The only thing I didn't have time to do was Social Media. I hired an intern who still works with the brand and has a degree in Digital Media. I think the new owner should know how to market over Social Media, or know someone who is savvy in this. My intern stated she'd like to continue working with Barbella Apparel. Her pay was $100 bi-weekly to post once per day on the Instagram page.
