Business Story

Why this business was started

Bath and Bath began as an endeavor to provide U.S homeowners with high-quality bathroom furniture at affordable prices.

We strongly believed that every homeowner in the U.S deserved the satisfaction of having a beautiful bathroom complete with top-notch furniture and amenities like vanities, mirrors, sinks, faucets, bathtubs, and more.

We noticed that even with all the furniture retailers out there, there was still a high demand for bathroom furniture and we decided to start Bath and Bath to help fulfill that demand.

It also made sense financially, as the bathroom furniture niche is highly lucrative with very high margins.

With most vanities and bathtubs being in the $1k-$4k range, we saw it as a opportunity to serve homeowners in the US while following our passion for e-commerce and the financial stability it brings.

It took months of painstaking work involving setting up our Shopify account and website, reaching out to U.S manufacturers to get approved to sell their products, uploading hundreds of their products, and setting up our advertising channels. However, all that hard work paid off as we started getting thousands of dollars in sales within our first week of advertising.

The reason of selling this business

We've had an amazing time building Bath and Bath to where it is today. All the hours we put in it have paid off and our business has provided us with an income stream we never even thought possible.

However, even with all of our success 2020 has been a roller coaster of a year and the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns hit us like a truck. We honestly do not want to sell this business as it is very lucrative, but with everything going on we realized we won't be able to give our business the time and effort it deserves.

We've decided to sell Bath and Bath so we can get more time to fix the issues in our personal lives caused by the pandemic.

Letting go of our business is hard for us, but we're confident it will be much better off in the hands of someone experienced who can take it to new heights.

What's involved in running this business

Bath and Bath is a business that we've loved building every step of the way to get it to where it is today, and we want it to succeed without us as we pass it on to you. The bathroom furniture niche is very lucrative. Most products are in the $1k - $4k price range and it is very easy to buy paid traffic, meaning you can make huge sales and hundreds of dollars in net profit with very minimal advertising costs/customer acquisition costs, little customer complaints, and not a lot of competition as our suppliers enforce MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies. All you need is a little effort to get a BIG payoff.

Most tasks and processes have already been automated so there's really not a lot involved in running this business, however, on a daily basis you will most likely be answering/handling customer service calls and emails, sending order information by email to their respective suppliers through their preferred email address, fulfilling orders by contacting suppliers to check on shipment statuses and to get the tracking information from them, and occasionally handling returns.

And on a weekly or monthly basis you will most likely be updating product inventories, posting on social media 1-3x a week to maintain social proof (mostly on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), paying supplier invoices for product and shipping costs, managing advertising campaigns on Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter (though at this point we only have excellent Google Shopping ads in place so it's up to you to branch out to other advertising platforms), managing email marketing campaigns (we're currently not running any email marketing campaigns so there a lot of opportunity for you to get free revenue), and brainstorming promotions and marketing ideas.

We will provide you with comprehensive instructions and FAQs for handling all of the above, however, we recommend you outsource most of them to be able to focus on important aspects of the business like running excellent campaigns that generate sales.

To help us run our business and do all of the above, we have installed apps and software that automate as much of the daily tasks as possible. The apps/software that help us manage the business include:

  • Zapier - To automate order processing by email as much as possible

  • ClearSale - To protect the business from fraudulent orders and prevent illegal chargebacks.

  • Aftership - To help customers track their orders on our website as soon as it ships.

  • Klarna - To give customers an option to finance their orders for an easier checkout process, help Bath and Bath stand out from the competition, and increase our conversion rates and average order value.

  • Back in Stock Product Alerts - To put customers who want to purchase an item that is out of stock on a waiting list and notify them when that item is back in stock.

  • Feed For Google Shopping - To make product uploads to Google Merchant Center more efficient.

  • Klaviyo - To enable us to send promotions via e-mail to customers and make more sales.

  • Page Speed Optimizer - To increase the page speed on our site so customers shop easier.

  • Rich Snippet for SEO - To help our site stand out in search engine results.

  • Sitemap and NoIndex Manager - To make search engines crawl our site more efficiently.

  • Tidio Live Chat - To help us communicate with our customers and answer any questions they might have to increase satisfaction and boost sales.

  • Slack Messaging - To help our team collaborate and complete tasks to achieve our goals.

  • MightyCall - To take customer calls and close more sales.

  • G-Suite - For professional business e-mails

  • Lucky Orange - To help us grow by understanding our customer/visitors actions and needs.

  • Minifier SEO Image Optimizer - To help us optimize our product images to rank better on search engines.

  • Privy - To help us capture emails via exit intent overlay and convert them to sales using e-mail marketing.

  • Product Questions and Answers - To answer customer inquiries on product pages that help increase the conversion rate for that product page.

All of the above apps and software automate as much of the daily tasks as possible, so you can spend your time growing the business and making money instead of constantly running/managing it.

We have already uploaded more than 1,000 different products from 9 different suppliers, with a list of more than 100 U.S suppliers all waiting to be approved with. Also, our website is fashionably designed with extremely fast load times for an excellent checkout process and smooth customer experience. However, even with all of this, we recommend you continuously improve the site to make it easier for customers to buy.

Maintaining a good relationship with the suppliers is also a must as it will increase the length of time you do business with them and even get you discounts on their products if you bring them consistent sales.

All SOP procedure outlines are ready and will be transferred to you for your use, along with our Upwork, Fiverr, and OnlineJobs accounts.

The potential for Bath and Bath is immense - with more than 100+ suppliers on our list, 1,000 different products, and most of those products being in the $1k+ price range, you can easily grow this business to more than $1 million dollars in revenue in no time. You could even branch off to home contractors and add a lot more revenue the business.

This is a genuine American business with American suppliers/manufacturers, not an "AliExpress dropshipping store" with cheap products from China.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who just want to waste our time so only contact us if you are truly interested in this business. We will go ahead and provide you with all of the data for the business and answer any questions you might have.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Throughout its 11 month journey, Bath and Bath has repeatedly surpassed all of our expectations and shown incredible promise, making more than $50,000 in total revenue in its first year of business with lots of positive reviews and feedback from its customers.

The methods we used to grow the business into what it is today has always been simple - Pay-Per-Click advertising via Google Shopping ads. Almost all of our success came from incredibly effective Google Shopping campaigns that made us sales at a consistently profitable rate.

Going forward aside from Google Shopping ads, we recommend running shopping campaigns on Microsoft Ads, then retargeting to lost customers on Facebook, Pinterest - as customers seek inspiration for their bathroom remodel there, and Twitter - which when done right can generate enormous success.

We also recommend running email remarketing campaigns to our email list of 170+ customers using Klaviyo for free additional revenue as we currently don't run any email campaigns.

Along with email marketing, we recommend you invest in SEO to increase your organic reach and sales for little to no costs by creating and building a Dream 100 list, which is a list of celebrities, influencers, websites, blogs, YouTubers, course creators, events, Instagrammers, Podcasts, and other associations that are currently in the bathroom furniture niche which you can advertise to.

Utilizing all of these advertising strategies can be a daunting task, thus if you don't already have the required skills then we highly recommend hiring an agency or freelancer to handle them for you.

Besides advertising, we recommend getting approved with as many US drop shipping manufacturers/suppliers as possible, and uploading as many of their products as you can, either by outsourcing it along with other repetitive tasks (i.e, updating the inventory) on Fiverr, Upwork, or Onlinejobs.ph. You can find U.S manufacturers/suppliers by checking trade shows online or by extracting them from competitors' websites. We will also give you a list of 100+ silver and gold level suppliers which you can get approved with.

Bath and Bath is a US-based business that has shown incredible promise, and under the right management it can become a major player in the bathroom furniture industry.

    Skills to have

Bath and Bath is an online dropshipping business so you would first need a solid understanding of how e-commerce works.

Experience in either Google Shopping Ads or Microsoft Shopping Ads is a prerequisite as shopping ads are currently our most efficient source of income. Being able to effectively market on social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter would also benefit you greatly.

Apart from skills in advertising, having excellent communication skills and creativity would also make things much easier when conversing with employees or handling customer service, although it can be outsourced.

Most of the tasks needed to keep Bath and Bath running have been automated using Zapier so you don't need a lot of skills to get started - you can simply learn them along the way.
